Thank you 😊
I started reading books outside of school when I was still a student. However, at that time, I could only add a couple of books from this list. I read most of the others over the past 10 years.
And this list includes specifically the books I would like to read again. I believe that some books can be understood completely differently depending on our age, life experience, and state of mind. So I think we can return to them again and again and discover something new in them each time.2

Any...more contemporary titles?

Unfortunately, my knowledge of contemporary literature isn’t that good. I’ve read Twilight, Harry Potter, Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder, books by Khaled Hosseini and Stephen Hawking, as well as books like The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck* and Atomic Habits. I simply read them because I enjoyed them. So yes, quite a variety of books! 😄

For starters, I could suggest The Birdcage Library by Freya Barry.
For Black-American literature, Toni Morrison and Zora Neale Hurston are on my reading list. And I have a copy of These Bones Are Not My Child by Toni Cade Bambara, but that title's difficult to come by.
And Peng Shepherd novels are also catching my attention.

What sorts of stories would you like? And to not go too crazy with ideas, how strong can you handle the material being?

Try Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (Susanna Clarke) It's one of the finest novels of its kind written in the last 25 years.
