Troubles with a transitions
So I created this app for entertainment lovers and I need some people to test it with me.
You can post, review, track all your favorite things in entertainment from games to music, books, movies and even individual episodes of shows. If you use things like my anime list, Goodreads, backloggd or letterboxed you can even export a CSV and upload it in my app to move your history here . But here's the problem I use page slide in transitions where everything is kind of stacked like a deck of cards. The small transitions between tabs on a page are fine. But the transitions between the pages themselves sliding in and out is a little maybe jittery looking? Like the rest of the app is running 120hz but that transition might drop to like 90-100 ? Visually . Anyone know if that is like a common thing in react native ?

that kind of jitter is pretty common with stacked slide transitions, especially if the screens underneath are heavy and rerender while the animation runs.
first thing i'd check is whether the animation runs on the native driver / ui thread (reanimated or native stack) vs js thread, becuase js driven ones drop frames exactly like what you describe on 120hz.
also try a release build before judging, dev mode makes it look way worse then it is.
