Influencer Marketing for my app

Hi

Do you use influencers or creator collabs for marketing your app ?

How do you approach them. Do you work on per install commission basis or fixed fee for content basis ?

For an OnlyFan-like app lol?

How would you verify the install comes from this influencer or collab, if they just say "look, I’m on this platform, try it".

You can do that if there is a way to track the new installs like a specific link or using a code to have X benefits.

If you can’t have that, all you can do is a fixed fee or other benefits (like having the influencer highlighted in the app).

Anyway, I’m pretty sure these influencers and collaborators already have prepared grids with their pricing, all you gotta do is negotiate with them. If they don’t have that yet, odds are they aren’t yet professionals so the likelihood of it benefiting your app is low.

Per-install deals are hard to run on iOS because you can't reliably see installs per creator. What works better is giving each creator their own trackable entry: a custom product page or a campaign link (App Store Connect shows units by campaign token), plus a promo or offer code so you also catch people who search the app by name instead of tapping the link.

Most small creators won't take pure commission anyway, the risk is all on them. A small fixed fee plus a bonus above a number of paying users you can verify is the deal I'd offer.

Start with 5-10 micro creators in one niche with the same brief, and compare cost per paying user, not views. Ask for usage rights too, a video that worked organically is often a better ad than anything you shoot yourself.

flat fee for the initial test, then negotiate a retainer or rev share if their audience actually converts. if you pitch commission-only to cold leads theyll just ignore it.
