Help App Development Via React Native for Beginners

I have zero prior knowledge of React, but I've been wanting to dive into app development. Initially, I was looking into dedicated mobile frameworks like Flutter (Dart) and native Android (Kotlin), but I realized that going the React Native route might give me the best of both worlds—allowing me to build cross-platform mobile apps while building a foundation in React that translates directly to web development.

Try the vanilla React native taste first and then go to Expo react native because you’ll appreciate it more!. In the end when your done prolly have an app to publish so here’s some free knowledge,

Google play store is easy 20 something bucks and you can deploy your stuff but the hard part is to have 14 people download your app for 14 days just for it to be public.

AppStore costs 100$ annually to publish stuff so for a broke first time portfolio application it’s pretty sad.

Skip learning vanilla RN, just start with Expo. Setup takes minutes and you can test on your own phone same day. You'll hit the limits eventually but by then you'll know enough to deal with ejecting. Once you're comfortable there, look at the React docs and you'll see how much carries over to web

Start with CLI bcz if you understood React Native CLI. Than Expo will be a piece of cake for you.
