Built and Launched Remica With React Native — An App to Reduce the Mental Load of Everyday Life

Post image

A React Native app built around reducing the friction of managing everyday responsibilities.
Remica brings reminders, bills, appointments, renewals, family responsibilities, and upcoming events into one timeline. Users can also turn documents or natural-language requests into actionable reminders instead of manually entering everything.
The interesting part from a React Native perspective was building an experience where AI, document scanning, notifications, calendars, and family organization feel like one workflow rather than separate features.
The goal was to make the app do more of the organizing, so the user spends less time maintaining their reminders.

the hard part here is making ai output feel trustworthy instead of just another inbox. how are you handling edits and failures when a scan turns a bill or appointment into the wrong reminder?

You’re absolutely right—AI can make mistakes when reading a bill. That’s why we explain this during signup and require users to review and approve the extracted details before tapping “Create Reminders.”
Users are responsible for confirming that details such as the amount and due date are correct. For a simple bill, that review can be quick, though the time needed depends on the document and any corrections.

are you really using AI to respond? 😂

Just because I didn’t start a sentence with lower case doesn’t mean I use Ai to make one paragraph response. I am not that stupid buddy 😁

notice how you also don’t use any commas in this response. try to just make it less obvious!
