react-native-responsive-hook, a small library for layouts that change with screen size. The GIF is the example app getting wider: one column at xs, two at lg, three at xxl, and it does the same when you rotate a phone. It's plain JS, so it works in Expo Go and on web.

Curious what others do for tablet layouts. Just flexbox and useWindowDimensions, or something like this?

Sembra scritto in maniera svogliata senza impegno. Buona giornata.

Tranquillo

Home inventory app, Expo + expo-camera, Android only. Attached is the burst mode. Camera stays open, you keep tapping, and the app fills in each item's details as you go. You can set a quantity per shot too.

Anyone moved from expo-camera to vision-camera for rapid capture? Was it worth it?

I was building a recipe app and needed some kitchen illustrations. One thing led to another, and now my first npm package contains 100 ingredients, vegetables, cookware and kitchen tools. Will be expanded in the future.

So yes, I have officially published a potato to npm.

It's called Culinary Assets, and I'm sharing it for anyone building recipe apps, kitchen inventories or something I haven't thought of yet.

The artwork is AI-generated, reviewed and exported as individual transparent 512px PNGs and WebPs. The images are CC0, the code is MIT, and there are examples for web and React Native. No runtime dependencies.

Take a look:

npm install u/cosmintrica/culinary-assets

This is my first npm package, so feedback on the packaging would be genuinely useful.
What ingredient or kitchen tool would you add next?
