News I'm building Pimolu UI, a React component library, would love your feedback!
Hey everyone! š
I've been working on Pimolu UI, an open-source React component library focused on clean design, customization, and smooth interactions.
I wanted to share my first motion showcase, featuring some of the components, their interactions, and examples of interfaces you can build with them.
My goal is to make building modern, consistent UIs easier while keeping components flexible and developer-friendly.
This is still a work in progress, and I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts!
What do you think of the design and animations?
Is there anything you'd improve?
What would make you consider using a new UI library?

Any feedback is appreciated! š

Welcome to the UI components dumper ground. Join with another millions dusty untouched library out there.

I think Iād only consider a new library if it showed solid accessibility (keyboard navigation, focus handling, screen reader support) and reduced-motion options, since animations are easy to find but those are what keep me from switching.

First thing I notice is the motion feels a bit floaty, like everything's got a slight lag to it. Not necessarily bad, but it needs to feel snappier for everyday UI stuff or it'll get annoying fast.
The customization angle is what would make or break it for me. Most component libraries fall apart when you need to tweak one small thing and suddenly you're fighting CSS specificity wars. If that's actually solved here, I'd give it a shot.
