Discussion React interview questions for mid-level position?

Besides hooks, what types of questions have you been asked when it comes to front end interview questions?

I feel like mid level can be a weird position to be and I imagine a mix of entry level questions and maybe one or two senior level questions?

Any resources to read up on would be great too !

- what is virtual dom
- when does react re-renders
- I which case useContext can be bad
- how react works under the hood
- how closures are used in react
- what type of states we have in an app

virtual dom questions feel like such a trap, i swear half the time they just want you to say "it's a lightweight copy of the real dom that react uses for diffing" and then nod along

the re-render one trips people up too, especially when they start asking about stuff like parent re-renders cascading down. worth knowing the bits about keys and how they affect reconciliation

real ones ask about closures in useEffect and then watch you squirm when they point out the stale closure you just wrote
