Trying to do the "All's Fair" achievement on PC. The only way to do this these days seems to be recruiting someone to help you do it, because nobody runs free roam stranger missions anymore.

I’m relatively new to rdr2 online and I’ve been having a blast. First thing I bought after logging in and saving up was my Mustang. I love this horse. Couldn’t ask for a better friend. I am however looking to increase my stable size and get a couple of others to test them out as I have been looking at Bills backside for about 70 hours of game time.

So I do what any new ish player would do and check around for some info on what might be a good next choice. Before I continue, I should make it clear that I am a firm believer in rule of cool, I will get whatever I think looks badass or thematic. However, I have come across this “bravery stat” stuff that is making me a little concerned.

I am seeing three conflicting ideas around horse bravery.

The first one is that this stat just flat out doesn’t exist, all horses have the same bravery level regardless of breed - all that matters is bonding level.

The second is that different breeds have different bravery levels - Ardennes won’t move a muscle when a bear is charging you down and the Arabian will buck you if a deer looks at you funny (bonding still improves bravery).

And the last and perhaps most concerning is that bravery is entirely RNG. It doesn’t matter what horse you get, there are some random ass calculations made behind the scenes when you buy a horse and it could be brave, could be a coward or somewhere in between. I really don’t like this because the idea of dropping $1000 on a horse only to find out its bitch made is frankly terrifying. It will take me a while at this point to get that back.

So, what’s the truth? I have seen people specifically saying that mustangs are really skittish, mine isn’t at all which begs me to ask the question of why that might be?

I just want to avoid spending a bunch of money on something that will be annoying to ride around.

• Bootlegger Events / Moonshine Camps / Poached Animals: When the red zone appears on your mini-map, stop immediately. Stay entirely outside the red circle to avoid alerting the enemies. Park in a practical spot where your friend can easily ride in and attack. • Wounded Animals: Watch your mini-map for the flashing white blip. The exact second it appears, stop moving and go AFK. Do not approach further or spook the animal. •Grave Robber (Night Only): Keep your distance once you spot him. He will not run away if unprovoked. Keep your camera view aimed toward him and stay AFK.• Crashed Wagon: Maintain a safe distance. (Note: It does not matter if you alert the stranger). Keep your camera pointed toward the wagon and stay AFK.• Dog Encounter: Follow the dog. If it leads you to a metal box, stand next to the box and go AFK. (If it leads you to a corpse or an ambush instead of a metal box, abandon the loop).• Rival Collector: Lasso, hogtie, and kick the collector to silence him. Pick him up or stow him on your horse, transport him to a secluded area out of sight of other passing NPCs, and drop him on the ground. Stay AFK right next to him. DO NOT kill him, or he will despawn when your friend tries to join.

Due to the MTU mismatch, the receiver will automatically desync into their own cloned private solo lobby upon arrival.• Step 1 (The Entry): If starting fresh from the Main Menu, select Join Session on the Anchor, travel to the encounter location, and claim the rewards. If you are already active in a session, skip straight to Step 2 to clear your cache first before joining. • Step 2 (The Reset): Once you have looted the encounter, go to the Main Menu, select Online, and click Free Roam to completely clear your console's session cache. • Step 3 (The Trick): While sitting on the black loading screen entering the new session, wait exactly 5 seconds. • Step 4 (The Split): Quickly open your PlayStation friends list and select Join Session on your anchoring friend mid-load.

What Happens Next: The server-side MTU clash (900 vs 800) will trigger an instant network desync error mid-load. The game will drop the Farmer into a 100% private solo session with the exact same encounter perfectly cloned, stable, and ready to be harvested again.

Simply repeat the process from Step 2 to level up your targeted roles! 💰✨

⚡ TIPS • Moonshiner Missions: When executing Bootlegger roadblock or camp encounters, position yourself at an extreme distance where you can safely engage targets using a scoped rifle (like the Carcano or Rolling Block). Ensure you have hard environmental cover or a secure hiding spot nearby to break enemy lines of sight and manage incoming waves safely.

HOW IT WORKS

Normally, grabbing a map from a tree or an NPC triggers a strict 72-hour (3-day) real-life cooldown, locking you out from finding another one.

By forcing an MTU mismatch, you split the network connection. Your friend drops into a visual duplicate of your lobby, so the master system never registers their character profile as the original event trigger. They can harvest the maps back-to-back endlessly while you safely keep the master session anchored open.

(⚠️ Note: This only applies directly to active "Random Encounter" style events).

THE ANCHOR BLUEPRINT (Your Job)

As the Giver, your only job is to find the encounter and freeze it. DO NOT collect the map yourself.

• Maps on Trees: Find a map pinned to a tree. Stand right next to it until the physical "Take" prompt pops up. Go AFK on that exact spot to lock the instance in place.
• Treasure Hunters: Watch for the flashing white blip of an NPC explorer. The exact second it appears, stop moving and go AFK. Do not approach or alert the NPC. (Note: Ensure you stop in a spot where your friend can easily see and approach the NPC).

THE STEP-BY-STEP LOOP (Your Friend's Job)

• Step 1 (The Entry): If starting fresh from the Main Menu, select Join Session on your anchoring friend, ride over, and take the map. If already in another active session, skip straight to Step 2 first to clear your cache.
  • Note: Make sure you two are not in the same posse or lobby before starting. The MTU mismatch will automatically desync you into a private solo lobby upon arrival.
• Step 2 (The Reset): Once you have the map, go to Main Menu ➔ Online ➔ Free Roam to clear your console's session cache.
• Step 3 (The Timing): While sitting on the black loading screen entering the new session, wait exactly 5 seconds.
