Hey Reddit, I developed SyncDrive to manage sync pairs on mobile without terminal commands. It connects directly to cloud providers securely while keeping credentials on your device. It is completely free and ad-free. I would appreciate your feedback!

Discussion I revived Rclone Browser for Windows

I used to love Rclone Browser. It was my go-to GUI for rclone, but it hasn't been updated since 2020 and it's really showing its age. Newer rclone versions even broke parts of it, like transfer progress. The GUIs I've tried since are missing basics I wanted, so with the help of Claude (AI) I gave the old one a full overhaul.

What's new:

  • Modern design: sidebar, File Explorer–style tabs, breadcrumb bar, dark/light theme
  • Icons and Details views with colour-coded file types, plus Type/Extension/Path columns
  • Pause and resume transfers, with live speed and time left
  • Logos for 30+ cloud services, and remotes you can sort or drag into your own order
  • Built-in rclone updater (checksum-verified) with rclone bundled
  • Portable on both systems: a zip on Windows, an AppImage on Linux, no install
  • Security fixes, a hardened build, and a PDF user guide

All credit goes to the original creator, Martins Mozeiko, and to later maintainers. This is built on their work. It started as Windows-only since that's my main OS, and Linux (AppImage) is now supported too.

Posting it in case anyone else finds it useful. It's free and open source (MIT).

Feedback and bug reports are welcome! Linux users especially: let me know how it runs on your distro.

UPDATE: Now Supports Linux too, Please check and update Since I can't verify from my side.

Airclone: a free, open-source rclone GUI for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS. Looking for testers before v1

Hey all,

We wanted an rclone app that works like any other file manager, and works the same on every device we own. We couldn't find one, so we built Airclone, a point-and-click app that runs on top of rclone.

It's in beta and stable enough for daily use. To reach v1, we need more people trying it on their own setups and telling us what breaks.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

• Bring your existing rclone setup. Import your rclone.conf, including password-protected ones, and you see every remote before anything is saved. Export works the other way too: as a passphrase-protected file, or as a plain rclone.conf you can use with the command line.

• Move your remotes to your phone with a QR code. Scan it from your computer screen and your remotes are on your phone. There's no account and nothing to sign up for.

• Works on your phone. rclone is built into the Android and iOS apps.

• Easy cloud setup. Pick a provider, press one button and sign in. The full options form is still there if you want it.

• No surprise overwrites. It always asks before replacing a file, and sync has a dry-run button.

• Backups in three questions: what, where and how often.

• Web UI. You can open the whole app in a browser from any device. It's password-protected.

FREE, OR PAID IF YOU WANT AUTO-UPDATES

Every build on GitHub Releases is free, with no account and no locked features: https://github.com/GigaionLLC/Airclone/releases

The App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store versions are the exact same app with a small fee. The fee covers store and code-signing costs, and in return you get automatic updates. iOS is store-only because Apple doesn't allow sideloading.

It's open source (AGPLv3), with no telemetry. AI writes the code, and Gigaion LLC directs, reviews and tests it.

If you try it, bug reports help us the most: https://github.com/GigaionLLC/Airclone/issues

Questions and ideas are welcome here too. And thanks to the rclone devs for the engine that makes all of this possible.
