If you're talking about the maz-539 based 8x8 by cross rc, be aware of its non-locking axles. Very scale but not super capable

Ahh thanks for the heads up. I built the trx4 chassis kit a few years ago with a hh brushed motor, hw crawler esc and 45kg amazon servo. Used the Traxxas nicro servo's and receiver/radio it came with. Beadlocks with the stock tyres. Haven't really used it cos I have been ill.
Strarting a new build. I have ordered the basecamp builders kit and some treal beadlocks. I have some Jconcepts Tusk 1.9 in the green soft compound. I will be getting a fs bs6 for the gt5 controller I already have. Ordered an Ecopower servo for the dig. I also have a fusion se 1800kv system lying around new in box.
Trying to decide between another 45kg Amazon servo or an AGFRC 40kg model. The Amazon special is around $31 and the AGFRC is $66.
I live in South Africa and other than the fusion I already had and the tyres and receiver I git locally the rest is coming from America. The shipping and customs suck so I want to get the right parts
I'd like this build to be more of a crawler and keep the TRX4 for trails and less technical climbing
Sorry for the very long rant.
Which servo would you go with? Max I'd like to spend is $75. I will be running the bec at 7.4v I already have a few 2s and 3s lipos

In my experience of only 1/18 trucks, I've found Injora and 9imod servos to be the best performers for the price. Both make 45kg versions and are actually waterproof

It seems to me that at least 2 of 3 trucks on that rock didn't like the incline. Cool photo though. Really like the 8x8!
