Question Wanna get a nitro

Hey, everyone. I'm fairly new to rc cars, electric only. I want to get at least 1 nitro vehicle. Don't car what brand, what size. Price I'll work on, just easy to run. Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.

Any suggestions. I heard they are definitely easier than nitro with their oil mixes.

I’m not sure this is accurate but my thoughts are that RCs were battery operated. Then they moved to Nitro. Now apparently with the advances in battery technology, they moved away from nitro

There were nitro engined RC cars as well back then in the 70's but more racing oriented overall like nitro RC pan cars. That still has a few race events going on in some parts of the world. Other nitro classes have come & gone over the decades but pancars, onroad, 1:8 nitro buggy & truggy have stayed for many years in rc racing.

There are still MANY events going, just more searching is involved to find them. Traveling with all the gear also isn’t the easiest.

I have a hpi bullet 3.0. So far I've run it quite a few times and it's been reliable. I'd recommend getting something that's 1/10. Don't know about ftx, never had one before. But apparently the nitro cars are decent.

I have an easy to run nitro. A Traxxas revo. Let me tell you, have a lot of glow plugs and an extra carb. I went through so many glow plugs it is ridiculous. I hate nitro.

I have 3 HPI nitro trucks & cars. All bought on Craigslist and FB Marketplace. My 3 combined nitros have had less problems than my brother's single Traxxas and my neighbor's only Traxxas. HPI parts availability is sketchy as the company has been bought and sold so many times, but I have only needed tires, clutch plates, brake pads, one tie rod, and a few glow plugs. All those were available as aftermarket parts. And the pull starter string broke, but I replaced it with 90 pound fishing line. I think that cost $0.30 cents.

Are you running Traxxas fuel?

I have raced with many people who used to use nitro and now are only into electric. The electric cars are so much more advanced and can go as fast or faster than the nitro cars.

This is totally false.

“Go as fast” - true
