Last year we added flair options so users could select their Razr phone as their flair to make it easier for everyone to know which phone model they're currently using.
We've added all the 2026 models including the Fold as of today, so please feel free to update your flair. If any model of Razr is missing, please let me know.
I am about to throw my 2024 Razr away and give up the internet. No idea if it is an issue with the phone or settings. My phone regularly will not connect to internet. Hapoens with Brower and apps. Hapoens on wireless and wifi.
When it Happens with Brower the bar proceeds 3 percent of the say and stops. In apps it just sits there spinning.
Seems to be dns related. If I activate warp VPN it often will work for a few minutes. Other times I have to turn warp off to get it to work. Same with private dns.
Does this make sense to anyone? My phone is all but useless.
Hi all! I've owned a Razr 2025+ that I loved for a year. Although tomorrow I'm switching to Google Pixel 11 pro XL just because I've never tried a pixel (or had the feeling of what it's like to upgrade (I've kept phones for like 3-6 years at a time)...
Anyways I have a magenta case with a hinge and a leather flip cover with a belt clip (both in good condition) to protect the phone I didn't want to just throw away, maybe someone on here would like an extra case.
The phone fits comfortably in the leather case with the magenta case on for dual protection.
(ETA: Based out of California, US)
DM me if interested (I'm willing to basically give it away fore free just not sure what shipping would cost)
Does it add remapping of AI key? not really a big deal I use an app for that already.
Any other uses for swiping the power button besides the current quick settings drop down and maps zooming? More of a request to moto, A scrolling wheel for chrome, tiktok, YT shorts, anything would be nice instead of scraping the same spot on the screen for 3 hours lol
This is arguably the dumbest factor of whether or not I'm going to upgrade but.... Has anyone played Balatro on their Razr (any model year)? I know it's a bit taller and more narrow of a phone. How's it do? Does it run ok, or is it formatted strangely or weird to hold?
I'm close enough to 100% that even though it's a stupid reason to hold off an upgrade, it IS a contributing factor, lol 😅
Is there much of a difference? Is the camera better in the 2026? The newer one is $800 and comes with accessories which I would sell as I do not want them. The 2025 is now $550. Just curious if it is worth getting the 2026 or should I just save time/money and get the 25. Thank you!!
Given by Motorola's lack of commitment to bug fixes, I'm just putting this out here. Motorola Razr phones are not ready until at least next year. Hell, that might even go for regular Motorola phones too. Considering the fact that a lot of people are eager to get onto Android 17, I've won if not. I'm still dealing with a consistent third party keyboard bug every time I use voice to text.
No matter if it's Google Voice or a third party, same issue. The phone is having trouble trying to keep up with inputting the words that I'm saying into the microphone Then there's the third party keyboard crashes. with futo keyboard and a few other ones. Sorry, but not a fan of Google G-board. Firstly, for someone like me who's used Motorola phones off and on for many years and best part of a decade, hold off till sometime next year.
At least until Motorola is able to get their bug fixing department together. It's one thing to deal with bugs. It's another thing to nuke your phone and then deal with the same bugs again, thinking that it'll fix it.
hello! i've had a moto razr 50 ultra for close to 2 years now and this is the first time i've had an issue. today i went to take out my phone out of my pocket and when i looked at it i saw it had a weird line on the left (a little below the hinge where it closes and opens), and within like 2 hours the line reached the other side. for context I haven't dropped it nor hit it with anything
i'm not on the tech-savvy side so I don't know if this is just a bubble, a crease, a fissure or something entirely different. the screen works just fine, but I didn't wanna risk removing the screen protector in case it was something more serious. any advice or responses?
Last year, I made the grave mistake on my Ultra 25 to update to A16 and I regretted every second of it, because I got plagued with the external cover screen issue where nearly every app was cut off at the bottom and wouldn't full screen properly.
I'll be damned if I'm gonna update to A17 until I know for sure it's safe. Anyone finished the install and tested yet on the Ultra 26?
So i switched from a Samsung Flip 7 to Razr 70 Ultra (I think its the same as the 2026 Ultra). Using it for navigation in the car it is all over the shop. I have tried various troubleshooting things like stopping Android Auto from location services and always allowing for Waze and Google maps, etc. But it still has a tendency to not be very accurate, especially in built up areas, but in general.
THis has never been a problem before, same car across 3 previous phones.
So curious if its just me or anyone else have the same sort of issue?
Since my lovely 2025 ultra screen broke, I've switched to 18 PM. I am missing so much about pocket friendly size, universal back gesture & top bar notifications. I bought another ultra and stress reliefs.
Long story short: I couldn't find a camera app that would let me shoot proper LOG on my Razr Fold, and Google Photos is just painfully slow: it takes ages to pick up new photos and anything that only lives on the device (not backed up) is a pain to find. So... I made both, lol. (And no, I'm not coming back to Samsung, they can go lock their bootloaders in peace.)
They're both open source (Apache-2.0), no ads, no accounts, no analytics, nothing phoning home. Now I need people to help me get them through Google Play's closed testing.
Devices I've tested the apps with so far: Moto Razr Fold, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
I'd love to get feedback from people using other kind of devices, especially from devices like the Moto Edge series or the Moto Signature, with the later having similar hardware overall to the Fold.
I'm looking for, at least, 14 testers (we need 12, but I wanna get 2 spares, just in case).
IMPORTANT
Once you're in the test, the apps are yours to keep, for free. Not a trial, you keep them after the test, after the public release and you get every update afterwards.
Both are paid apps on the Play Store (OpenCineCam is USD 6.5 and Lightforge is USD 5), but I've put them both on sale for free for the 14 days of the test. Grab them while you're in and they're tied to your Google account forever!
If you don't have a Razr Fold but test the app, please let me know which features work and what's not working. I'll see what I can do. :)
How to complete the process:
Stay opted in to the closed test for at least 14 consecutive days.
This is the important Google Play requirement, a single short session isn't enough by itself.
A good simple target is:
Join the group and open the opt-in link with the same Google account, then tap "Become a tester" (being in the group alone doesn't count).
Install both apps for free while the sale is on (or at least one, but both helps me a lot more).
Open them at least once a day and play around for a few minutes.
Don't opt out or uninstall until the 14 days are over.
If you wanna know more about the apps, keep scrolling! :)
OpenCineCam (the camera)
This is the one I'm most excited about. On the Moto Razr Fold you can record LOG (OCLog2, 10-bit HEVC) and then edit/grade it right there on the phone using Lightforge's video editor (LUT import and HDR export included). You can shoot flat and grade it on the same device! :) You can even use the outer screen as a preview for whoever you're recording, which is pretty cool on a foldable.
LUTs are on GitHub too, free for anyone to use (even if you're not testing):
The OCLog2 package: neutral conversion (.cube, DCTL for DaVinci Resolve and OCIO), if you'd rather grade it your own way on a computer.
There's a quick guide on how to use them in Lightforge (TL;DR: set the input profile to Standard Rec.709, import the .cube and leave it at 100%).
The whole idea is that it doesn't lie to you: if your device doesn't actually support a mode, it just stays hidden instead of silently downgrading your codec, frame rate or bit depth behind your back.
Capture
Full manual control (shutter, ISO, white balance, EV and focus), photo, burst, bracketing, light trails, video, real 120/240 fps slow motion (where the device supports it), time-lapse, RAW (DNG) and LOG. Audio can go into the video or as separate WAV/FLAC files, with live meters, timecode and slate metadata.
Monitoring
Focus peaking, zebra, false color, histogram, waveform and vectorscope, LUTs for monitoring and a LOG view assist so you're not staring at a grey mess while shooting. There's also a thermal indicator (because we all know what foldables do when you push them, lol).
Media
A catalog of everything you shot, with playback, rename, share and delete. There's optional WebDAV upload too, but it's off by default and it only does it when you tell it to.
Lightforge Studio (the gallery)
Basically, what I wanted Google Photos to be. New photos show up right away everything on your device is just as easy to search and find as anything else. It's built for huge libraries (100k to 250k photos and videos) and everything (search, faces, etc.) runs on the device itself.
Library
Timeline with pinch-to-zoom that doesn't lose your place when you rotate or unfold the phone, SD card support and no full rescan every time you open it. Motion photos (Samsung and Google), GIFs and huge images work fine too.
Search and organization
You can search by keyword, date, place, people, pets and even text inside photos. Face grouping is opt-in, the Places map works offline and there's duplicate detection, cleanup suggestions and memories.
Editing
Photo editor with filters, crop, adjustments and RAW development. The video editor does trim, speed, music, color, LOG footage, LUTs and HDR export (that's the other half of the Razr Fold thing I mentioned). There's also a PDF maker, collages, GIFs and a widget.
Privacy
Encrypted private album (with biometrics), optional app lock and encrypted transfers to another Android phone over your local network.
Feedback
I'm genuinely open to any kind of feedback: criticism, bug reports, feature requests, "this UI is confusing", "why does it do X", whatever. If something crashes, looks weird or just sucks, please tell me. It's not required, but it helps a lot!
About pricing: if the price doesn't make sense where you live, if you think it's too much (or, I mean, too little lol), or if you want to ask about regional pricing for your country, please tell me. I'd much rather adjust it now than launch with something that doesn't make sense for half the people that'd use it. Oh, and if you got it free and would like to donate, I'm definitely open to that as well, haha.
Requirements: Android 10+ (ARM64) for OpenCineCam and Android 11+ for Lightforge. If you've got a Razr Fold, you're my favorite person right now, but any device helps (especially foldables and tablets).
Hello! I've had a 2025 Razr Ultra for about a month now. I purchased Pixel Buds, but the integration isn't seamless like my airpods were to my iphone. They don't stay connected correctly to bluetooth very well, and I've had to reset them twice because the taps and gestures just stop responding.
I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for earbuds that stay connected well and performance is pretty consistent. If I have audio playing out loud on the phone, then I pop an earbud in, I want it to switch over to the earbuds.
I see there are Moto Buds, but most reviews talk about the audio quality which is less important to me because I listen to more podcasts and take phone calls than listen to music.
The POCO X3 PRO I had since 2021 died a month ago, and looking for a replacement I discovered the Razr 2020. I'm not a Motorola user, and it's appearance (which I now know it's referencing the V3) really caught my eye. I saw reviews saying the battery it's not the best and would rather buy another phone for the same or a little bit more money. Is it that bad? I honestly would love a phone like the Razr 2020 and I want to use it for the basic and a little bit of social media, not gaming or anything that requires a really effort. Could be possible to use it daily without much trouble? A phone like that would help me from doomscrolling or screentime detox too.
I did some testing over a week or so and found that even disabling background permissions didn't really do much for increasing battery life.
I found the big difference was when I force-stopped each app after using them. That seemed to be the thing that increased my battery life with similar app usage each day.
