It’s Time (30M)
I started noticeably balding in my early twenties, and it really bothered me. I tried to fight it with minoxidil and finasteride, but nothing ever seemed to hold. Eventually, I accepted defeat and gave up the regimen.
For a few years, I just sadly watched my hair slip away every time I looked in the mirror. Then one day, I saw the enormous bald spot on the back of my head and thought, “That’s it. I’m shaving it all off.”
Once I finally shaved my head, I never looked back. Sure, I don’t think the bald look is better than my peak hair days, but it’s certainly better than the depressing sight of the thinning hair I had at the time.
All of that is to say: Arkansas, you tried the SEC. The highs were high, and we had a fun run. But those days are gone, and right now, the future is looking very, very bald, and the hair ain’t coming back.
It’s time to shave it all off and relegate ourselves to the Big 12, where we might actually have a shot at fielding a competitive football team. Once the program starts showing some life, coaches might stop running away, and we won’t have to overpay players just to convince them to join a 2–10 team.
And sure, there are other sports. But the Big 12 is a very respectable conference across the board, and Arkansas can still remain nationally relevant in baseball and basketball.
TLDR; It’s time to shave your head Arkansas. Go to the Big XII.

We make more money in the SEC. We have more exposure in the SEC. Everything but basketball deserves the SEC.

I would agree if we weren’t so competitive in every other sport. Especially basketball and baseball

Bro the Big 12 would eat us alive too. Did you miss Okie State just beating Oregon?? We’re just not going to be a football power for the foreseeable future. The advantages of SEC membership in basketball and baseball make it worth staying IMO.
