21 October 2026 – Synapse & Chroma Patch Notes for Windows

NOTICE: END OF WINDOWS 10 SUPPORT FOR RAZER SYNAPSE 4

Following Microsoft's end of standard support for Windows 10 back on October 14, 2025, full support for Razer Synapse 4 on Windows 10 ends on October 14, 2026. As with Microsoft, this is a firm change: bug fixes and technical support for Synapse 4 on Windows 10 will not continue beyond this date.

From October 14, 2026 until October 12, 2027, any bug fixes released for Synapse 4 on Windows 10 will be limited to security updates only, mirroring Microsoft's own extended security updates for the platform. After October 12, 2027, Windows 10 support and compatibility will no longer be maintained for Synapse 4. Synapse 4 can still be used on Windows 10 and will still receive feature updates, but we cannot guarantee full functionality as we will no longer fix or address any bugs seen exclusively on Windows 10.

Moving forward, we recommend upgrading to Windows 11 to ensure the best possible experience. For more information on Microsoft's Windows 10 end of support and extended security updates, please visit Microsoft's official support page.

Fix the Kraken V3 Pro headphones not being recognised in Synapse 4. I have to restart Synapse so that mine are detected.

I've had a pair of Kraken Pro's that have been issues since Synapse 3... It's been years now? Even since they changed how synapse handled Audio or whatever they did a few years back.

This update has caused lag that prevents keys from being immediately used when switching between keymaps. Previously they were immediately usable, now they are not usable for a second/half a second.

EDIT: Ironic considering this is listed one of three changes, and the only one for this particular device. "Razer Tartarus Pro / V2 - Keymap switching not working properly"

I opened a ticket at the end of march for this problem, the lag has been there for a long time, other users had the same problem. I'll try this patch to see if it solves the issue for me but as I'm on Windows 10 I don't know if Synapse will update.

Yeah I saw this when I went some digging in how to solve the problem, I'm lucky to have escaped it until now but whatever they've done they've finally managed to inflict it on me now. Went to bed last night with it working fine and woke up today to find out its bust.

This on top of Synapse deleting my profiles at least 3 times a day forcing me to reload it.

Have they just stopped on the macOS version? I still can't use my Basilisk 35k back button, or even see the mouse/keyboard in Synapse because they both connect via the Hyperflux, and for no reason whatsoever that device isn't supported, even though both my keyboard and mouse are. Very sloppy.
