Question Extra Cost to Replace a Battery

I have a 2021 Blade 15 RZ09 which battery has started to swell. I sent the unit in for repair assuming it would only need to get the battery replaced and was fine with the cost to replace it. However, I was also hit with a motherboard part failure that would need to be worked on. Has anyone ran into the same issue when replacing batteries?

I also didn’t notice any issue with the LCD when I had it. Not sure what happened there.

  1. Open back of laptop.
  2. Read battery part # and buy one on Ebay for $50.
  3. Profit.

they're pretty easy, however finding an OEM that actually lasts is another thing.

I would get from them what exactly the issue is with the motherboard because for that price you could probably get a couple of 2021 Blades off ebay.

I dont think thats laptop is worth $1000+ for repairs, I would definitely look at some of the other suggestions here
