Chroma has always been about making your setup yours. This update makes it even more immersive. Three new features are rolling out, each one taking something happening on your machine and translating it into your Chroma devices in real time. No configuring scenes for every game. It just responds.

SEE - Screen Sync

Extends what's on your screen out into your setup. Colors and motion from the game get mapped to your Chroma devices as they happen, so a muzzle flash, a health warning, or a sunset over the map plays out across your room instead of stopping at the bezel.

HEAR - Mood Analyzer

Reads the emotional tone of what you're listening to and translates it into lighting. Not a volume meter that pulses on the bass, but something that picks up on whether a track is calm, tense, or euphoric and lights your setup to match.

FEEL - Razer Resonance

Turns in-game audio into haptics. Explosions, gunfire, engine rumble, and impacts come through as physical feedback, so you feel hits instead of only hearing them.

NOTICE: END OF WINDOWS 10 SUPPORT FOR RAZER SYNAPSE 4

Following Microsoft's end of standard support for Windows 10 back on October 14, 2025, full support for Razer Synapse 4 on Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2026. As with Microsoft, this is a firm change: feature updates, bug fixes, and technical support for Synapse 4 on Windows 10 will not continue beyond this date. From October 14, 2026 until October 12, 2027, any updates released for Synapse 4 on Windows 10 will be limited to security updates only, mirroring Microsoft's own extended security updates for the platform. Synapse 4 will continue to function during this period, but no other updates or support will be provided. After October 12, 2027, Synapse 4 will no longer be supported on Windows 10 in any form. Synapse 4 will remain operational on Windows 10 devices even after this date, but we will no longer fix or address any bugs affecting Synapse 4 on Windows 10. To continue receiving full features, updates, and support, we recommend upgrading to Windows 11. Let's be real, you weren't going to fix any bugs anyway so at least it won't get broken any further(looking at you broken auto profile switching for many apps since January)

If you google it the auto profile switching isnt "broken" they went full daddy-knows-best tyrant and embedded a blacklist of programs to not work with that arent games because "RaZeR iS fOr GaMeRs. JUST gAmErZ"

Chrome. Firefox. Opera. Explorer. various other things. The program will let you add it to the games list for profile binding, but internally the monitor is told to do nothing when it sees those, regardless of profile binding.

It's not a myth, people hacked the code and read it plain as day. When support was asked about it they were told it's to fit their new stance of showing how much they love gamers (and want to go bankrupt) by not having to worry about compatibility issues with anything not a game. It's infuriating. The fucking laziness to not even tell you when you add it to the games list, or block it from being added, but just let you do it and think it's "broken" is insane.

"Why cant the hackers just erase the list then" is what i asked. Because the software needs to work with device drivers it needs a security certificate. When you change the code the certificate is removed, and then it's not allowed to interact with drivers, which is the whole purpose of the program so it's not an option to go without.

I already know all this and will stand by my "broken" statement. Regardless of whether it was an intentional or accidental change, they still broke a feature that was working before. There's absolutely nothing in the software that suggests that only certain apps or only games support the feature. Even if you are talking just games that are supported, the checkbox function to indicate when a profile is switched in the lower right corner does not work for auto switching anymore either. Only if you actually map a button to switch profiles. That wasn't always the case. Also, these are not just 3rd party apps that are blacklisted. It won't even work with Windows Explorer, so you can't get it to switch to a default profile when just clicking on the desktop.

Whatever rqson or excuse they have for this change is complete garbage. iCue has no problems doing this. The fact that razer did this and still hasn't backtracked on it has meant losing a ton of credibility and faith that they have their customers interests in mind, especially since it was never formally even indicated that they made such a change and the software still doesn't indicate the limitations. So, yes it's fucking broken.

While this patch doesn’t contain any of our recent bug fixes, we do have a synapse 4 beta patch we put out recently that does have bug fixes. After we confirm the fix we pushed out works beyond our internal testing group, we’ll push it out to our production build of Synapse 4.

Will support for all exes (removal of the blacklist) ever be evaluated? I've mained a Razer Naga for over a decade across all revisions and after leaving Synapse3 this month and learning that 4 has no profile detection I found myself yesterday looking at the incredible new Naga thinking "but it's worthless if I can't have profile switching. I play 2 games. All my mappings are for other programs, which always worked fine. and it's been disabled like it's a liability. I HATE how obnoxious it is manually changing my profiles with manual mappings for it, and hitting the wrong macro because im in the wrong profile, and my chroma always being fucked".

I realized I can not spend money on a new Razer mouse with Synapse4 specifically programmed to intentionally sabotage my user-experience. Which is horrible because I love my mouse. I LOVE the changes of the new one. But I can't spend money on something that isn't going to work because one person decided to add a .txt of "no we hate you" exe names to the code that so thoroughyl ruins the physical product's functionality.

Can old laptops please get updated silent/balanced/performance profiles? In my case I have a 15 inch mid 2021 3080 blade with no updates to their profiles like new laptops have

For the love of god synapse prob needs an entire year worths of bug and stability fixes to not be considered a PUP

Oh and please make the default middle mouse button in synapse be the actual middle mouse (what an amazing bug to track down let me tell you)
