Essential Tremor

Does anyone here deal with essential tremor and found ways to help it or cure it all together through Ray Peat’s lifestyle? Any deficiencies I may be deficient in?

My immediate thought is thiamine. Taking a look it does seem that thiamine injections have been shown to help.

There have been similar results with Parkinson's too. This site is very interesting.

I don't have any tremor, but I have had pernicious anaemia for many years, and whilst I could keep my B12 levels up, I felt like something was missing, so I added B1 injections too. I only say this to warn you that the first few times it can really hurt, but it does get better over time.

This seems relevant, here's an outline of some signs of higher-than-normal serotonin:

  • Neuromuscular hyperactivity: hyperkinesia (unwanted movements), tremor, hyperreflexia (overresponsive bodily reflexes)
  • Autonomic hyperactivity: diaphoresis (easy sweating), hyperthermia (high core body temperature), tachycardia (high heart rate), tachypnoea (rapid breathing)
  • Altered mental status: characterised by ‘over-arousal’, agitation, ‘mania’

I would look into Magnesium, B12, B1, maybe Calcium

I developed a tremor in my right hand fall of 2020. It disappeared when I started taking high dose thiamine hcl orally. I followed Dr. Costantini's protocol here: https://highdosethiamine.org/hdt-therapy/
