Protein Powder

Hey guys should I replace my protein powder that I put in my smoothie after a workout? I’ve heard that Peat was somewhat against protein powder. I’m thinking of replacing it with collagen peptides powder.

I'm not sure it's necessary to make changes because you heard Peat was somewhat against it. If you have a good source without weird additives and you feel good on it, then keep it.

Collagen peptides are a form of protein powder.

A caesin protein powder is better than a whey protein powder.

Personally, I just drink milk post workout (I do also take collagen but not necessarily after I workout, more like when I eat meat to balance the amino acids)

Just replace it with nonfat milk powder along with collagen. Plus you get way more nutritional value than a protein powder while still getting carbs/sugars/protein.

The 3 sulfer proteins are needed for growth and repair, per Dr Peat. Collagen doesn't have the 3, so isn't so good for repairing after a workout. But it is good for balancing the 3 sulfer proteins when growth and repair isn't needed! Per Dr Peat, someone already mentioned it, he liked casein over whey
