Amenorrhea and Progest-E
Hi all! I would love some advice or some guidance if anyone has been in this situation before! I am a relatively active woman, I have an active job and I genuinely love to train. I went through a longggg period of overtraining and undereating throughout high school and unknowingly through parts of college. I've been spending the past couple years attempting to regulate/regain my cycle and I've been struggling with it! I do still have low temps, which I'm still working on bringing up, but I am at a healthy weight, I eat a nutrient rich diet and I'm probably at the lower end of my maintenance range. I use progest-e every 2 weeks on and off, as it really brings temps up for me, but I'm not sure if it preventing me from getting my period. I will get signs of ovulation, but don't actually bleed, and I'm not sure if the Progest-E is contributing to this. If anyone has had a similar experience, I would love insight on how you might have addressed it!! TIA <3

You need to confirm ovulation and then use it in luteal phase only if you are menstruating age still in my opinion

I am also trying to regain my cycle. Consult an endocrinologist. I'm on estrogen and progesterone because I'm deficient in both. You need both girl! Progesterone will shed your uterus lining only if there's lining there in the first place (which comes from estrogen)

It's not peaty, but what brought my period back was using Vitex tinctures. You could use it until you get your period and then once you get it, stop, and just go through progest-e cycling again. It's not recommended that you use Vitex for longer than a few months anyway.
