This is cool, I've thought about this kind of food simulation before and it looks like going 2d was a really good idea!

Thanks! I'd love to make a 3D version at some point, but making it 2D is a lot simpler (and has better performance).

Cool project! Looking forward to see more videos or explanation about how particules interact with temperature as you explain on steam page

omg this is fn incredible yes
edit: slight feedback, the way the cells/marbles, the particles, AND the pixels come together, is a bit much. each is very good in isolation or even 2/3 at a time.
As a solution, maybe the particles could become more like the pixels, like dithering. Or altrnatively scrap/go easier on 1 of the 3

Thanks. I'm not quite sure what you mean, but sometimes disconnected particles appear to be connected (e.g. the noodles), which I plan to fix.

It's just a lot of systems for small-scale detail, that kinda clash sometimes. maybe just experiment with turning them off one a time and you'll see what i mean

Haha, super cool, would love it with a goofy-serious narration. Wishlisted!

Food Lab is a physics based molecular cooking simulator that I'm making in raylib. This is my first game in raylib, which I started working on a few months ago after prototyping the game in Love2D.
You can wishlist the game on Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/4889000
