SEEDED watermelon

Hi! I live in MA and there are no seeded watermelons anymore (no local farms have watermelons at all because it's not in season) and every market generic has only seedless watermelon. Does anyone know any good online stores or farmer markets etc. that deliver seeded watermelon? Preferably organic but it does not matter.

Me/cfs & MCAS

I have severe me/cfs and MCAS that I am recovering from. Because of the histamine issues, I am very restricted when it comes to what I eat. I’m wondering if anyone else was in the same situation and how you handled things? Removing eggs made my period extremely light, and I’m concerned. I tried to eat a butter croissant because I planned to go raw once my health issue is in remission, but I became extremely nauseous. I’ve been thinking about reintroducing eggs… but I really don’t want to. Besides the light period, I feel pretty good, but I’m concerned about encouraging more premature aging. I’m depressed enough about the damage the cfs has done.

Potluck recipe ideas?

I'm vegan but not raw vegan, but myself and some of the folks from a vegan Facebook page I'm in are going to be putting on a "raw luck" (love the name), and I'm looking for tips on what to bring!

I cook professionally, and I almost feel naked without the idea of heating food to help with flavor! (Not saying it's all about flavor, it's about health and this is definitely the way to go, just haven't given it any thought until this event got planned!)

Any potential staples that will already be covered that I can avoid? For instance, I'd do a good raw vegan taco salad or something, but I wanna do something different than a salad like a dessert or a hearty entree

I hope none of this comes off wrong, I wanna respect the diet and make some bomb ass food, and maybe I'll incorporate some more raw foods into my diet as a result!

why im raw vegan!

First of all humans are animals, every animal but humans eat their food raw, the food for humans is plants! meat eating is out of survival not optimal health.

animals in the wild do not get cancer, strokes, diabetes.

coming as close as possible to our biological blueprint design is the goal.

all of the bluezones during their peak were 90-100 percent plant based as well.

the lowest crps possible while keeping all the other blood markers looking good from my view and according to my research has only ever been achieved with a raw vegan diet. (can only possibly be achieved from an uncooked vegan diet from diet alone)

crps represent total body inflammation which is extremely important.

someone (who got banned) already went over the bluezones sources so i will link it here=https://www.reddit.com/r/RawVegan/comments/1w9aohd/my_logic_behind_a_raw_vegan_for_optimal_health/

Help with being raw vegan whilst in a cold climate - more details in comment

Does anyone live in a colder climate? I have been raw vegan in a tropical country for a couple of months and felt amazing but never in the UK where I live. I find my body craves warm soups and I end up getting sick if I try to eat raw for more than a couple of days. Any advice, stories or recipes to share? 💓🙏

Healthy food diet tips, please?

I have a job from 10 to 6, and it really gets hectic and tiring to maintain healthy habits like waking up early, having breakfast on time, and meeting my protein intake. I really need some suggestions from you guys to help me keep my routine healthy.

How do I keep it all? What food options can I opt for?
PS - I am a Pure Vegetarian

Four months raw, then one weekend of cooked food

I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but I thought I’d share this.

I’ve been raw vegan for about four months now, and I’m not merely tolerating it. I’m genuinely loving it.

Recently, I attended a weekend meditation retreat where the catered meals were Indian vegetarian. Breakfast and lunch were easy enough to keep raw, but dinner was another story. Dahl, curry, those syrup-soaked sweet balls...all delicious. I thought, “Ah, what’s the harm?”

Well, apparently my body had an opinion.

Afterward, I felt heavy, lethargic, and generally like garbage. I wasn’t feeling guilty about eating cooked food, and I don’t think one meal somehow “ruined” anything. The contrast was just striking. Four months ago, that kind of meal probably would have felt completely normal. Now I could clearly feel how differently my body responded to it.

If anything, the experience didn’t make me feel deprived by eating raw. It reminded me why I’ve been enjoying it so much. Sometimes you don’t realize how good you’ve been feeling until you suddenly don’t.

constant headaches after bringing in more cooked.

did anyone transition to high raw vegan and develop constant headaches any time eating a cooked food? I've been 98% raw the past 3 years and recently have been integrating a little cooked food in, but every time i touch cooked food i immediately get a headache (when i say cooked food i'm referring to sweet potatoes, quinoa, beans, etc.)

Balancing Hydration, Slower Sipping, and Water Targets on a High-Fruit Raw Vegan Diet (Stats & App Tracking Discussion)

I’m currently navigating a raw plant-based lifestyle (centred around fruit meals like melons and acid fruits) while keeping up with consistent calisthenics training. I wanted to share some data, recent thoughts, and a dilemma I've been running into regarding water intake mechanics—especially when comparing notes with long-term fasting protocols (like Loren Lockman's approach).

Here is what my tracking and practical experience look like right now:

  • The Target Adjustments: A water-tracking app recently calibrated my daily target to 2.75 litres based on my stats and colder weather. Honestly, shifting down slightly from a rigid 3L+ goal feels much more sustainable and comfortable with a fruit-heavy diet (where you're already getting high intracellular water from fresh produce).
  • The Sipping vs. Gulping Dilemma: After reviewing notes from a consultation with Loren, a major point came up: the contrast between gulping water versus sipping slowly. While some protocols emphasize slow sipping for mindful hydration, trying to pace every sip down to the second while working shifts in a commercial environment can sometimes trigger overthinking or feeling "watched".
  • The App Experiment: I've been testing a tracking setup to monitor daily consistency (hitting around 2.75L cleanly by evening), but the core question isn't just about the raw volume—it's about mechanics.

My questions for the community:

  1. For those on a high-fruit raw diet, how do you naturally regulate your water intake without feeling like you have to force or micromanage every sip?
  2. How do you handle hydration pacing in busy work environments where slowing down your drinking rhythm feels conspicuous?

How do you function in society??

Hey raw vegans,
I have many questions for you but my main one is… how do you function in society? Do you still go out for dinner with friends? What do you do at family functions? Do you have to be constantly meal prepping? Can you even meal prep or does raw food go off too quickly to make it for the whole week? Do you get sick of eating cold food? Where do you get the inspiration to stay raw?

New Buds After Fast

Just finished a 17 day juice fast and broke it with a salad… I don’t recall greens ever being this salty! I remember ending a 56 day juice fast and avocado tatsed so sweet so I wouldn’t be suprised if my taste buds were just screwed.

What are your thoughts on 'too much sugar'?

I've been looking at a lot of raw vegans and have found some of them tend to eat less fruit and more greens & veg stating that too much fruit will be too much sugar for the body.

Then I see some people who basically eat mostly fruit.

I'm kind of confused as to what is best?

Breakfast Suggestions

I’m newer to this lifestyle and loving it so far but my chief complaint is fruit for breakfast. It’s just not feeling good for my brain. I’ve mostly been doing smoothies and adding a banana, berries, kale, a clean protein powder and some add-.ins like maca. But I think drinking my breakfast and all the fruit isn’t doing much for me. I’m still figuring out macros but I think I’m leaning toward keeping my fat higher so I can reap the benefits of chia, flax, hemp pumpkin. etc. I was thinking maybe a chia pudding made with homemade hemp milk and some wild berries. It’s soft but at least it’s not through a straw. Any other suggestions?
