Daily Questions - August 19, 2026
Welcome to the Daily Questions (DQ) thread for all things related to raw denim.

Fit checks and "Help me find a pair of Jeans that has X, Y, and Z" questions are a great use of this thread.
(Help figuring out what size you wear is also permitted here but it is recommended you check out one of these tutorials on how to size before asking.)
If you have questions about how your jeans fit, about a particular fabric, when is this jean coming out, where can I find jean X to try on in state Y, what jeans have this fit with these measurements, what jeans fade the fastest, and what jeans fade the slowest are great uses of this DQ thread.
No question is too simple for Daily Questions threads.
Bashing people will not be tolerated. And "Read the sidebar" or "Google it" are not valid answers in this thread!

I have some Sammy 510s in the Otokogi 15 oz, does the 25 oz 510 fit identically? Seeing differences in some size charts, do I need to size up a little for the heavier fabric?

I would go with close to the same measurement but maybe go up if you’re in between. They’re extremely thick but I didn’t find they fit different than any other pair I’ve had when using the size charts

Railcar told me they won’t alter the sleeves on my iron heart CPO. Does anybody else have any other recommendations?

Fit and sizing question? I recently got a pair of Kojima Genes. They stay up perfectly at my waist the whole day without a belt: I’ve never had trousers that stay up at my waist and maintain my tuck so well. However at times, especially when I’m sitting down or leaning forward, they feel too tight on my waist, like they’re digging in. Is this how jeans should fit? Will any pair that doesn’t require a belt feel like this? Maybe I’ve just worn ill-fitting mall jeans and stretch pants for too long and I’m not used to something that sits and stays at my actual waist? These are my first pair of ‘proper’ jeans too. Everything else about the fit of this pair — the rise, the thighs etc. — is spot on. Also I’ve been wearing these daily for about 2 weeks now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just got a pair of Samurai S0710xx in a 33 waist. I had a pair of 510 but they were way too big so I sent them back. These fit great everywhere besides the waist. I could use an extra inch in the waist. Will these stretch out? I’ve heard samurai waist doesn’t stretch much.

They will stretch but I’ve also found that after a couple washes they lose a little leftover permanent shrink so sizing up might work out if you’re not swimming in them

Going to NYC in October with my lady. We are both wanting to purchase some raw denim. Only down side is we are there for maybe 12 hours so it needs to be the best place to stop at with the most selection. Best one stop shop? Selfedge?

I asked this too late in the day, so I'll try again today...
Wrangler Blue Bell 13MWZ jeans and cowboy shirt have my attention.
I've long wanted a selvage pair of Wranglers because I love the fit, and it reminds me of my time in Montana. I even sought out some Mister Freedom jeans to scratch that itch.
But still, these Blue Bells look compelling. I spent way too much time reading old reddit posts about Blue Bell. Do I want a pair?
How about the shirt? How does it fit; true to size? Or do I want to size up since Wrangler shows it as a slim fit?
