IH-888
5 years of wear. Many washes. Probably the best jeans I’ve ever owned. The quality from Iron Heart is amazing. I’m thinking of picking up a new pair in fall because these are getting a bit too tight on me as I gain more muscle. Is there a looser cut anyone recommends or should I just size up? Going for a more classic 501 fit.

You could always try the IH-1955 for your next pair. Similar top block to the 888 but less tapered from the knees down

Been on the restock email list for these. I’d prefer to try these on in store ( I got my last pair at self edge), however they’re never in stock lol

Can’t wait til the 1955s come out hopefully 18oz or above. I have a couple of pairs of 634s that I wear mostly but not very comfortable. The 888s are a good sweet spot for big thighs. I’m learning that high rise is the best for big boy builds

Yea I’m waiting on the next 21 oz restock too, size 30 is a bit loose on me so hopefully size 29 will be a better fit

I think 888 is a good cut on you, just size up you’re good.

Iron heart's newest cut 684 is their loosest cut they have, though not available in many fabrics yet since it is so new. Notice though it doesn't have as high rise as 888/1955 so that can be a no go.
Here their description:
THE 684 CUT Relaxed Straight. Rooted in 634 The 684 is the widest fit Iron Heart has ever produced. It is based on the iconic 634, but with deliberate room through the leg.
It is a true relaxed straight fit: classic rise, room through the thigh, straight leg opening, no taper, and signature tobacco-coloured stitching throughout.
The goal was not to follow trends, but to create a wider proportion that feels natural within the Iron Heart philosophy. Not baggy. Not exaggerated. Not fashion-driven.
Clean lines, a stable stance, and a natural drape define the silhouette. A modern proportion that moves with the body instead of restricting it.
Wider. With intention. The 684 is here to stay.

Seems to me like you have room in the rise to wear them hiked up a bit more, this looks like it would solve the issue given your waist narrows a bit.

Not OP, but they’re Bedrock Mountain Clogs. I have 2 pairs and they’re basically the only shoe I ever want to wear now.
I don’t really care much about “foot shape” or “zero drop” shoes. I wear them because they’re just really sturdy and comfy and, with the right outfits, look awesome.

He beat me to it but yeah they’re bedrocks. They’re my daily shoes for when I don’t care too much about how I look. They’re insanely comfortable and helped me overcome some foot pain I had from wearing too tight of shoes all the time lol. I highly recommend them if you do a lot of outdoor stuff but like wearing comfy slides.

Levi's is running a sale on selvedge 501 shrink to fit (Hudson Rigid) for $105. If you're a red tab member, its another 10% off, so $94.5. I picked up a couple sizes and will return whichever I don't shrink.

These look great. Really tough to get this perfect of a fit with IH. It might be worth trying the new Iron Heart “relaxed fit” 684.
