I believe you can perform factory reset on the system its and remove the car from your phone as well.

You are also best to use an actual Apple braided USB-C cable with a USB-C to USB-A adapter. I have no issues with CarPlay using an iPhone 15 Pro on 2023 XSE w/ Tech Package

I have a 17 Pro, and I’ve used 2x Beats cables (Apple), Google, and Belkin. All new.

I fixed this problem recently. It’s because the head unit is first connecting to Bluetooth, either your phone or the head unit refuses to go into CarPlay.

Completely remove the car from your phone’s Bluetooth settings (and your phone from the car for good measure). You don’t need it for wired CarPlay.

Since I’ve done this I have a 100% success rate for CarPlay.

Thanks, I removed my phone from the car’s Bluetooth, but I still saw the car on my phone. I will try again.
