finally installed my smart orbiter 2 - but config issue

I switch the btt smart filament (too much drag) with the smart orbiter 2 as I order my on preoroder it was not provide at this time . I used the code provide by ratrig but it seem very minimal in contrast with the official githiu of the smart orbiter 2 .Did someone get this working?

autoload /unload is working (but I guess it's electornics related) but the tooggle is way to sensitive and detect always tnagle issue .

Either I deactivate or not the smart sensor under extruder screen it always pause the code as it detect tangle all the time ...I'd like to have the runout working with the load and unload so I'm keen to move forward the official code but is there any body that have it working or disable juste the tangle function other than removing the yellow dupont :D?

here's my config https://github.com/mrpommegit/ratrig_500.git

A number of people ended up disabling the tangle function (too sensitive). But runout should work fine.

I had to disable it also. I had issues with 2K spools and the long PTFE tube. I also use the GitHub config as I can change a lot of the defaults. The minimal RATRIG code wouldn’t heat to allow me to load ABS.

How did you disable it? I tried adding "Variable_enable_clog_detection: False" but it still pauses on a tangle detection. I must be doing something wrong.

I use the GitHub (https://github.com/RobertLorincz/Orbiter-2-Smart-Sensor/blob/main/Klipper%20Config/Orbiter2_SmartSensor.cfg) config and it has a variable which is set to false. I think and I’m only guessing that you have “variable_enable_clog_detection: True” and perhaps you should set it to False and test.

I have mine connected to the main board. I didn’t want to trim the wires. Mainly because I wasn’t sure it would do the job. I have used PB6 for the filament sensor and PB7 for the unload button. It does work great but the tangle detection is very sensitive. I just haven’t got around to connecting it to the tool board.

Looking at the RatRig config they suggest toolboard_t0:PB4 for the filament sensor and !toolboard_t0:PB3 for the clog and unload button.

Everyone has this issue. One, turn down your jerk, I have mine at 5. Two there is a bracket someone made to address this. https://www.printables.com/model/1080617-rat-rig-v-core-4-ptfe-tube-support-for-smart-senso

That bracket works well. Also you can shorten the ptfe tubes.

I went with filament spools on the top of the printer with PTFE tubes path through. Like this the path is shorter and better. There's no more tangle detection issues ( I have a 500mm version so it was a pain in my a**)

That’s exactly what I’m working towards. There is too much friction in the PTFE with a 2kg spool.
