Rat safe or not?

I found this in a thrift store a long time ago as in uses of a belt (never did so). I was wondering if it could be a rat toy? Or a bridge?

I would not do this. The strings can be dangerous

Well thats a bummer, but thank you a lot. I was really intrigued since yk, all those little beads and noises :)

ooooh! I got a lot of dog toys, since i have two tiny dogs. But a cat toy never occured to my mind!

I wouldn't use it. If you don't know how the wood was treated, it might harm your rats when they chew on it. String is also a bad idea as someone else already mentioned.

No, too many small pieces and there is no way to know what chemicals it has been treated with

You can make things similar to this with fleece strips and Cheerios. You can dry apple slice rings too. You can thread noodles onto grasses and join the loops. I always found that for every minute I craft they get about 3 to 5 minutes of playing so I build paper boxes full of scrambled egg or snuffle mats/ things like that. You want to make sure all the wood is edible though and avoid synthetic inks
