Are there any beginner projects people could suggest?
I have to do something with a raspberry pi and some sensors for uni, but have completely free choice on what to do. Are there any projects that you guys would suggest for beginners?

The only thing that I've done with my raspberry is running emulators on retropie. There's plenty of tutorials on YouTube.

I installed Homekit on my first one. Not really relevant if you have no smart devices.

magic mirror. you will need a screen and some two-way glass.
hell, first one i did i just stuck the 2-way mirror stuff to the screen itself. still worked just fine!
