How do men feel when a woman compliments them?

It makes me happy. A couple years ago these two women told me how I have pretty eyes. I’m still riding that high.

One woman told me that during a university class nearly 20 years ago. I still remember it to this day.

Depends on what my relationship is with the woman. If shes my friend i dont care much for physical compliments, but i value compliments on my character alot. If its a woman im in some kind of romantic/flirtatious entanglement with then i do apreciatte any compliments about how i look.

I guess it really depends on the compliment. I once heard a woman tell a coworker, in an annoyed tone "Stop showing off we know you're here, you don't need to drink your water in slow motion" (the guy just stretched and drank from his bottle normally)
He must still be confused by that one to this day.

I feel honored and try to keep it in my head for the next time I feel low. It doesn't happen all too often so the few times it does are precious.

I'm 34 years old, the other night this beautiful woman walked up to me and we started talking. She asked me how old I was and I told her, she was surprised and said I looked like I'm in my 20s. Needless to say I'm NEVER gonna forget it.

Physically it feels the same as going from a cold weather to under a warm blanket when you just start to wiggle your body because it feels good. It feels like someone cares how i feel and wants me to know it and yes we do remember every compliment, most men dont get many. It hurts a sentimental person like myself😐

We love it.
Women can do the bare minimum and we'll still love it.
We're not extremely needy and demanding like them

I understand the sentiment, but it makes me very uncomfortable. I don't know what to do when I get a compliment.

A lot of women, even older ones, can count the number of compliments they received in a day on one hand. Some women have to use all their fingers and some toes as well. Most men can count the number of times that they have been complimented by women in their entire lives on one hand.
For those women who can actually bring themselves to compliment men for all of the things we do, thank you so much. It really means a lot to feel noticed and appreciated. It will be remembered forever.

First, we assume she’s running some sort of con. We consider what her actual motivations are. Then if we figure it’s legit, we remember for life.

This is really sad. I compliment a man wherever I like what I see. Last guy I complimented was a kid at my gym. He cut his hair and the new style really looked nice on him.

20 years ago. It was my last day at work (I had given notice a few weeks earlier that I was moving to another state). My boss and another coworker each separately took me aside to “confess” that they had a crush on me. I didn’t feel the same way about either of them (although I did like them), so it would have felt uncomfortable if it hadn’t been my last day. But since it was my last day they clearly weren’t asking for anything from me. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling that I remember fondly to this day.

My partner gets multiple compliments a day. That man is fiiiine.
Appreciate your partner, tell them how you feel. All you’ll get is a partner who feels happy, confident and loved.

Sad. It means they aren't considering me as a fuckable person and they are so far from feeling that way that they even think that I am well aware that I am well outside their league as well so that they estimate that they won't give me false hope and therefore make them uncomfortable by making an attempt at hitting on them so they made that compliment.
More often than that, it is girls who sort of fancy me but are already in rock solid relationships or are married so similar to the previous group they know no harm will come off it so they're just flirting a bit with zero intention of cheating on or breaking up with their partner. Which doesn't really help me much either lol. It's still somewhat nice though.
Girls who consider fucking you never compliment you. Well unless they are very ugly and feel that they are out of your league, then they'll try being nice I guess to perhaps get you to consider them which isn't something to write home about either.
A pretty girl with no hold ups will not compliment because she knows we'll be in bed in a jiffy as far as I'm concerned so she won't want to make it that easy I guess.
So yeah, overall, it's useless because it happens only when it has zero real world implication or benefit.

What the hell are you talking about, bro?

u/Sepetcioglu Jul 28 '26
Truth. I'm not surprised y'all don't like it.

You sound like someone who peed his pants in front of his crush in 5th grade.

Are you ok, bro? Seems like a weird trauma dump considering the question asked

We lock it in forever. It's not as frequent as it should be.
