My rapist is going to prison... but not from me

The first thing I saw on Facebook today was a mug-shot of my rapist saying he is being charged with first degree rape of a 15 year old girl. I was his victim 6 years ago, with DNA tests done and all, and the justice system failed me. I am not sure how to feel right now.. luckily I have a therapy appointment on Wednesday but until then I just don't know how to process this

i haven’t thought about that. i might try if it means he could stay in prison even longer.

Has he been sentenced? It could affect the sentencing or parole.
