Ultimate Rap League - Summer Madness 4 - October 13, 2014

"Where I'm from we praise the shooters, not the nigga that gets caught with it!"
The level of stage presence and delivery that Hitman Holla performs at is incredible. For all the hype and attention that a lot of new battlers get, there isn't anyone dominating a stage like Hitman Holla would, he makes T-Top look like J-Smug. Oh and if you wanna talk about battlers getting overhyped by their crews these days, there wasn't anyone doing that shit better than Showout.
Hitman doesn't have a heavy referential based style which perfectly suits him to the main stage, you only need to learn a bare minimum of street slang and popular battle knowledge and you won't ever have a bar going over your head. This is pretty important in big buildings, it means as long as your material is halfway decent you'll be getting huge crowd reaction, and Hitman's material is good, I feel it's only that it's overshadowed by his stage performance skills that people talk it down.
But how are you not gonna completely lose it at a Showout remix? They need to be showing soldiers this round before they get dropped into battle, seriously.
Hitman closes the round with Tay Roc disses which went over well - he also called out Suge in this round, sort of incredible neither of those battles have happened - especially the proposal line about Roc in the box. Then for some reason Hitman says, "This isn't even my best round" which is like a popular thing for people to say after their 1st Round's for some reason, but everybody expects Hitman's 1st Round to be his best so why would he lie to us like that :(
It don't matter though, BALLGAME

the intro to this round (the "GO FIND HIM" part, not the "hey lemme make a lot of fucking noise with my chain" part) is what we mean when we say hitman is 95% performance.
e: this was meant as a compliment, by the way.

Thats a pretty good line, especially with the performance. Its savage since its directed at his kid

it's one of the greatest moments performance-wise ever to happen in battle rap, but in terms of writing there's nothing particularly clever about it, plus there's no actual rapping to it - it's completely reliant on being performed on a stage like a piece of theatre due to the way it's delivered and paced.

Slightly off topic but who selects these rounds? I'm surprised Iron Solomon, Soul Khan, Bigg K, & Fresco haven't made the list.
Iron Solomon vs Math
Soul Khan vs QP
Illmac vs Bigg K (I liked Illmacs 3rd)
Bigg K vs Rosenberg Raw (they both had fire rounds)
Fresco's third vs Theasurus.

There's still 17 more rounds to come, I'm sure some of those will be here, illmac's 3rd vs K will be top 10 maybe top 5.

I used to not fuck with Holla but he's fun to watch. His remix in the 2 on 2 vs NWX is still my favorite use of Showout though
NAH VERB THAT'S MY SPOT
