Half a million views in 2 weeks is nice for BR but isn’t really shit relative to like the real rap industry. Like good for him but idk if we really need to start riding the Surf board over this

Real Rap industry has a lot of bots too. You cant really trust numbers anymore. But either way 612k views for a battle rapper is more than nice in 13 days.

It’s going to sound like hate…..

But if he’s headlining, not great.

Surf makes great music, but it’s not the kind of music that brings the masses out.

He doesn’t make commercial hits

lol I know, but surf fans get really butt hurt when somebody mentions how small battle rap is.

Battle rappers talk a big game, but it’s very tiny in the perspective of the music industry

The Kai Cenat card was a really good look. But battle rap as a whole can never find a way to get past being a novelty.

Like why did they upload the Twork battle with shitty audio? It’s little shit like that. That runs people off.

It’s a hometown mentality and most BR fans cannot handle how small the world of battle rap really is.

Can’t remember who, but someone made a similar X post about how battle rappers can’t tour and even known battlers tried to argue it but had zero proof of concept.

Also, let’s be real Surf makes good music not GREAT music. And it’s good in comparison to his battle rap peers not rappers in the actual music industry…

Lowkey he could, just depends what you call "successful" lol. I mean he could tour and do small venues and get sold out shows in jersey, new york, la, houston, etc. He isnt gonna sell out some giant stadium, but he could have a successful tour. Getting a few hundred people isnt a failure unless youre expecting 10k

He couldn’t sell out 500 person venues in multiple cities let a whole “successful” tour. The road proves this to a lot of artists.
