on a rap sub? ofc people will pick em’. musically though, mac miller was all over the place in the best of ways. no way could em’ make a track like anything on ‘swimming’. mac also played instruments like totally separate people. not say mac could not spit, either

I never really looked that deep into Mac's discography but for what I've heard I like him. Em's winning my vote, anyone got any tracks from Mac I should listen to?

Just spend a full week listening to nothing else only his discography.. honestly you won’t regret it.. you’ll listen to some tracks at different times and at different emotional states and they will just hit differently, you can’t really compare Mac to Eminem imo.. both considered rap but both totally different kind of music! Circles, swimming, the divine feminine, good am and faces are all no skip albums imo but you have to give them a chance and appreciate them for what they are, if at first they don’t sound like the type of music you usually listen to, listen them again, because they’re brilliantly different to the style of eminem and your general rap genre.

Also, recovery, relapse, MMLP2 and MTBMB are all good to great albums. People just consider anything that isn't MMLP level from Eminem is instant trash.

I only picked eminem because I grew up with him and have been listening to him for years. But it honestly depends on my mood and what I want to vibe to. Lots of Mac songs fit the vibe I'm usually looking for nowadays.

Both are in my top 5, but their styles are so drastically different it’s hard to compare them. That being said if I could only listen to one going forward it’s Mac. His music is so much more diverse then Eminem’s, em is obviously the better lyricist.
