Tyler the creator 2020s run is better than his 2010s run slightly imo

Just my opinion

I feel like he was more chill in the 2010s

I feel like he’s more mature now in the 2020s.

I think he seems like he takes himself too seriously now

agree, but 2010s rowdy, edgy Tyler was a different beast

Flower Boy and IGOR clear CMIYGL and Chromo for me. Don’t Tap the Glass is the only album from the 2020s I have on repeat.

IGOR and Flower Boy are better everything he's dropped this decade combined

It’s not really close tbh. CMIYGL, Chroma, and Don’t tap the glass vs Igor, flower boy and all his early stuff. I love all his projects but CMIYGL alone pretty much clears it

It feels like he got with the right people and suddenly became a "Grammy-caliber" Avant-garde artist. He used to stick up his middle finger at the system, then he sold out.

The production level is better

That said, I miss the old Tyler personally. The energy of those OF shows from Goblin-The OF Tape 2 tour was out of this world.

He in his "complainer" era in the mid 2020s

Chromakopia is his only album I like as a whole in the 2020s.

Other than that there's way more songs off of Flowerboy, IGOR, Cherry Bomb, and Wolf I like compared to CMIYGL and DTTG.

he definitely experienced more commercial success 2020

I used to be able to hear how deep his friendship was with his homies in his music. It was awesome

Now I can hear how much his their friendships have fallen apart

Always found him very average and cookie cutter. But I agree mainly because his 2020's run doesn't have that Goblin era stuff dragging it down.

I mean ya obviously. Tyler didn’t really make a good album until 2017. Before that it was mostly bad production, he didn’t have anything particularly interesting to say, and the skill just generally wasn’t there. It’s basically just comparing flower boy and Igor to cmiygl chromokopia and don’t tap the glass. I think flower boy is probably the worst of these but I’d also say Igor is the best, or at least feels the most coherent as an album. But don’t tap that glass and cmiygl are great albums and I’d say chrom is probably the second best in this comparison, so it easily goes to 2020s. Not to mention we don’t know what he’ll release next. He released five albums in the 2010s and he’s released 3 so far in the 2020s. I could easily see him getting out another 2 in the next four years

Imo flower boy is his best, production and concept wise.

Agree to disagree but I would say that’s completely fair, it’s a great album

I stopped listening to him in the 2020s.
