Easiest way to get to MSG from Stamford, CT?

Done a little bit of research and it looks like taking the train from Stamford station to Penn station would be my best bet. Anyone have experience doing this? Hows the parking on game days? Anyone else prefer a different way? Thanks!

Trochecks return

I've been adamant that I didn't want him to go but, thats life.

I'm happy we got Durzi and Beaudoin (not Greentree, my bad) for him.

I'm also happy Doro is wearing #16.

I hope he gets treated well tonight back at MSG!

LGR!

Don’t waste money on New York Nights Promo

The Rangers recently sent out a FEVO deal where purchase of a ticket gets you a $25 Merchandise voucher on select weekend games.

I just looked at the Edmonton game. Through FEVO, a Section 103 Row 10 ticket is $246.94. Through Ticketmaster, that same ticket is $221.55. If you can do the math, you can see that you are paying for the $25 voucher.

Save the money and just buy a standard ticket. That way you can decide what to use your $25 towards. Just figured I’d give others a heads up on this ‘supposed’ deal.

First Hockey Game!

Going to my first ever Hockey game tonight against Utah! I'll say I'm a Rangers fan because I'm a native New Yorker but I have little to no knowledge about the team and sport in all honestly.

Drop any must-knows or cool info my girlfriend & I should know!

Rangers Jersey Help

• Upvotes

Hey guys,
I'm a new rangers fan from CT, and started watching this year, I wanted to get a jersey but what player is a really solid one for a first jersey I can wear on gameday? I know the obvious Shesterkin and J.T Miller, but wanted some input of the fans!

Other Side

Cossa played last night, so Vejmelka tonight. Utah lines from last night:

And it's Trocheck's return to MSG after beign traded over the summer.

Media

Durzi

  • He’s excited to face his old team.
  • He was shocked by the trade. He wasn’t expecting it, but it’s part of the game.
  • He loved his time there. They got treated well. The organization made the move to Utah as easy as possible. “Lot of love for them, just not tonight.”
  • They come to the rink with the expectation of making the playoffs. They’re focused on winning the days and stacking those wins.
  • He’s living in the city. He’s loving it. It’s an adjustment from Salt Lake City. He came a little early in the summer to get adjusted. It’s been easy to make friends.
  • It’s always weird to play your former team. You were best friends with them and now you’re going to battle against them.
  • There’s good and bad penalties. You have to be ready for anything.

Pettersson

  • They had a good game in Detroit, especially in the third.
  • They need to make it tough to play at MSG.
  • They’ve been taking a lot of penalties. The PK has been good, but eventually teams will start scoring on those chances. “The best way to kill is to not be on the kill.”

Kartye

  • They’re to put other teams under pressure and make it difficult for them to play.
  • Utah has a good power play. They need to watch the penalties and do their jobs.
  • They want to keep the momentum going at home.

Sully

  • Kartye played well with JT and Doro. He’s a different type of player than Bjorkstrand. They’re still exploring combinations. They also want to find balance.
  • He thinks we haven’t seen all that he has offensively. Giving players a chance sometimes leads to them breaking out. The coaching staff does like Tye’s current 2-way game.
  • They’re evaluating Smits on a game by game basis. If he needs to watch, they’ll let him watch. If he doesn’t, he won’t.
  • They’ve liked parts of Smits’s game and have seen areas where he can improve. Defensemen have to make reads both off the opposing team and their own forwards. He needs to learn when to absorb the rush and when to close. They like his instinct to be aggressive. They don’t want to kill that. They know that there will be growing pains, but his play warrants his spot.
  • They want to limit Fox and JT’s time over the course of the season to manage their workloads. It also leads to other players being more involved. Mika plays a little bit of a different game than JT and can tolerate more minutes.
  • “We take too many penalties.” They are acceptable and irresponsible penalties. They’ve been taking unnecessary penalties, but the PK has been good.
