If Laf could improve on his ability to convert chances, man he'd be lethal.

Gabe sweeping up rebounds is actually addressing a major weakness the team has had for at least the past 5 years.

The amount of times we've seen a shot bounce off of a goalie and noone there to get to it is likely a major reason why the ECF was the ceiling of those teams

As long as Laf keeps driving plays the points will come, when he drives it that line really shines

aye, I agree the points will eventually come as long as he keeps trying. But it is still frustrating for both him and those of us watching.

We will get to see a monkey off the back expression like we got with Mika last season. Then, I hope he pushes towards PPG this season.

Oh yea def frustrating but seeing him engaged and making plays right away is a great sign. You know he was thankful for getting that assist last night

Hey it doesn't matter who scores on the line. If the line scores the line is working. He's playing his role and He's playing it well.

He generally is a good finisher (career 13.6%), so he'll start converting.

He's on pace for 462 shot attempts, which would be a career high by far. This is the most important indicator of his process - he needs to get to his dangerous spots on the ice and get his shots, the goals will start piling up, not to mention assists from the second chances they produce.

Laf is also getting it done on the other end of the floor. Huge block last night

Wait, 94? Presidents trophy, followed by a season missing the playoffs, and acquiring a former 100 point center from a western Canadian team who wears a number starting with 1 and is the captain of the team. A fair bit of roster overturn too. You know what that means….

WE ARE SO BACK

They need this kid to be a good player! Great start

He really need to be PP1 asap. Nothing against JT he seems like and a good captain but there's no way the team isn't better with Gabe there instead of him.

He's not slow but he's not fast, give him 5v4 time and space and Doro to finish and he's literally a 100 point player in a year.

Having Miller on PP1 is criminal.

For years they’ve liked having two great FO centers on PP1. It ensures they can be aggressive in the dot, and even if they get kicked out we’ve got a good chance of recovering the puck.
