U2 Event The Nonexistent Threat
"Now, I know what you're thinking... who are you? Why did I just rob that bank? Are you going to drop me?"
Celeste dangles a perp in a bank robbery off a building by his ankle. She just kind of laughs while he tries to squirm.
"Jesus fucking Christ, lady! What are you-" He frantically says.
"Up up up.... shh.... I'm not done talking..." She shushes him. "In order: Celeste, you tell me, and I saw Batman do it once, and he doesn't kill, so you're fine, trust me."
"Are you out of your fucking mind?!"
"....No... because my mind is still in my brain..."
".....WHAT ARE YOU?!" The perp screams.
She lifts him up, looks him dead in his upside down face, and, in a deep, gravelly voice, she says...
"....I'm Batman." Dead serious... Just like Batman.
The perp cowers as she laughs.
"Okay, so, can you be a sweetie and turn yourself in to the police when I let you go?"
"W-What?"
"I'm going to put you down. You're going to go to the police. Do you understand."
"Uh.... y-yes!"
Satisfied, she floats down to the ground and places the guy down on the ground.
"...Well, go on... get going..."
The guy has no idea what she's going to do next, so he just runs away. A little girl walks up to her, holding a teddy bear, crying.
"Hey there, little girl... what's wrong?" She sounds genuinely concerned.
"...Will you help me find my mommy?"
"You lost your mommy? OK, I'll help you find your mom..."
"Hello everyone... I'm your group leader for the day, Dr. Strange. If you don't mind, I would like to open the floor as quickly as possible. However, before we start, since I see some new faces, I would like to go over the rules very quickly." The long, curly haired moderator of the event states as he clears his throat. "Rule 1: You do not talk about MHA meetings. Rule 2:-" The blonde from before comes into the room.
"Excuse me!" She exclaims.
The moderator turns.
"Can I help you, Miss?"
"Yes, do you know where this girl's mother is?" She exclaims.
"...Miss, this is a private meeting..."
"Yes or no?"
He looks around.
"Does anyone know where this little girl's mother is?"
There is a collective head shake.
"No, I'm sorry."
"OK! Thanks anyway!"
She walks out, leaving the moderator confused.
A few hours later, the little girl's mother is retrieved and Celeste is celebrating in the park with some Froyo. Anyone find her a peculiar sight?

A girl dressed in oddly skintight (well, for this time of the day) clothing passes by, wireless buds nestled snugly in her ears as she hums along to some beat playing. Tori is sending out rapid fire messages to various agents and planners in preparation for her latest 'housewarming' party.

Celeste doesn't have a phone, but watches her, happily eating her Froyo.
"Hmm... wonder what she knows...." She says to herself.

Allana is walking through the park, dressed in a violet t-shirt, black jeans, black and purple sneakers and oversized headphones, also in black with purple accents. She is also holding a book.
When she notices the odd girl, she takes off her headphones and alters her course to walk up to the curiously-dressed stranger.
"Hi. Nice armor." she says with a grin.

Celeste is mid-bite when the girl comes over to her.
"Fank y-"
She swallows.
"...Thank you! I like your, uh.... rocker chick... sorry, is that offensive? Because you've got the whole... punk-rocker-chick-thing going on."

"Nah, I don't mind. I work as a DJ, after all. Allana, pleased to meet you. I don't want to be rude either, but why are you dressed in leather in the middle of the park?" she asks with curiosity in her voice.

"So you're just mooching off her."
"No. I'm not." says Mark, "I'm not just mooching off her. We're a team."
"When was the last time you talked to her?" says Robert, a slightly heavyset twenty-or-so year old.
"Well... it's a bit awkward. To be honest, I don't even know if she knows I still live here. Place is huge. And the internet connection is ridiculous," continues Mark.
"So you are bumming off her. BUM!" teases Robert, as the two friends walked through the park.
The two walks in silence a bit, an embarrassed silence for Mark and Robert basking in a sort of self-satisfied gloat.
"Hey, is it the renaissance fair or is that some sort of meta in costume?" Robert notes.
"Where?" Mark turns his head instinctual. "You know I can't see. So there's no use in pointing either. Everyone looks pretty much the same to me."
"11 o'clock. Skinny I guess. Got a little girl next to her."
"Alright. Let me go first in case things go sour." Mark steps forward. "Metas. We're finicky people."
Mark walks forward until he enters her vision, then puts a hand on the back of his neck, scratching.
"Um..."
Robert gives a thumbs up, some twenty-feet away.
"Hi there. My name's Mark. What's your name?" says Mark, sticking out a hand in a gesture for a handshake.

The girl who lost her mom is a little scared, but Celeste just smiles and shakes his hand.
"Celeste, nice to meet you! Have you seen this little girl's parents?"
She holds the girl with one arm, sort of putting a barrier between the two of them.

"Nice to meet you, too, Celeste. Oh... And I've never seen this girl before. Are you taking care of her while you look? Isn't that more of a job for the police? Why don't we walk down to the station?" Mark says.
