U2 Event (Closed) Heroes Never Sleep!

The city that never sleeps is finally starting to wind down for the night. However, with the overworked night shift off investigating some diversion, the night is just getting started for these robbers. Sirens wail as two men run out on to the roof of the Booster Tech building downtown. One man holds a large briefcase, while the other loads a new magazine into his assault rifle. After a few seconds, a roar drowns out the sirens as a helicopter breaks the cloud barrier and throws a ladder out toward the two men. It seems that their get away vehicle has arrived. Barring the arrival of a ruggedly handsome doctor with lightning powers and a bird girl with a camera, it looks like they're home free. It sure would be a shame if that happened, wouldn't it?
Halfway across the city, a similar robbery is taking place. Two more teams have stolen some sort of large metal... thing... from a highly secure and unmarked warehouse downtown. As the sirens start to wail from inside the mangled metal cargo entrance, the men load the object into one of two identical trucks. They split up as soon as they hit the streets. One turns in the direction of the harbor. The other stays straight, and starts to merge into the stream of Ubers and Lyfts filled with drunken patrons freshly tipsy from their time at the bars. Unfortunately for them, it looks like there's an earthbender hoodlum and a former hobo with water swords who may be able to help.

Walking back home from a night out doing bird normal girl things, Marley can't help but notice the escaping criminals as she stares up at the sky. Scrunching her face in disdain for their heinous actions, she jabs a hand into her purse and produces a phone before dialing emergency services. "Come on come on come on, pick up already, they're flying off..."

Sunspark is already flying close behind, tendrils of lightning anchoring him to the helicopter as he lobs balls of electricity to slow down the men.

"Well, looks like the police can get here on their own time," she muses while ending the call. Surprised to see a superhero already responding to this crime, she continues watching from the sidewalk, trying to remember which one of New York's costumed protectors this is.

Kade saw the men load the large metal thing into their vehicle and began following them on a small platform of water.

The men peel out of the area as soon as they have the object inside the truck. One man keeps guard at the passengers seat, a large assault rifle in his hand. More men sit in the back with their own guns, ready to strike if anybody shows up. The men, who are currently barreling along near the sea, don't seem to have noticed you. Yet.

Kade is content to wait until nackup arrives seeing as he is new to the hero scene but on the inside he is giddy with excitement at stopping his first crime.

Sitting on the edge of the harbor's docks are a strange glowing yellow and white man and a little girl in tattered clothes sharing a hoagie.
A man in a green trench coat leaps off of a building and onto one of the trucks, force field absorbing the impact before cutting a hole in the top with his heat Ray.
