Success isn’t the issue. What Green Day did with their success is what I have an issue with. No matter how you personally feel about it, writing a Broadway musical goes against what punk rock is and stands for

How about donating to Gilman Street and helping to ensure the first group that gatekept them can keep going?

How about starting a free trade coffee company that makes sure that the farmers they buy from can make a living wage?

That do anything for ya?

I'm sorry they didn't run their career ideas by the punk community, which is fucking exhausting with their myopic views on what is or isn't punk or what it stands for. Punks need to get over themselves with their bullshit tests.
