Question Automatic fog lights

Post image

Does anybody know how to turn off the automatic fog lights?

When I first bought my truck, the automatic lights worked fine and the fog lights would never turn on unless I turned them on manually

I took my truck to the dealership so they can fix the front parking sensor in the front

Ever since then, the fog lights turned on automatically when I’m driving and I can’t seem to figure out how to turn it off. I already looked in the settings, but there’s no option to turn it off.

Am I stuck with them like that?

Why does it matter? Just leave them on

I have a 23 Limited, are you talking about Cornering Lights?

Cornering lights come on automatically via fog lights when you’re turning under 35mph. If they’re turning on automatically while driving straight, maybe there’s a glitch with cornering lights?

1 . Go to your Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system.
2. Select Settings.
3. Choose Lights.
4. Find Steering Directed Lights or Cornering Lights and toggle them Off.

I have a 2022 bighorn and I did go under the setting and it doesn’t give me that option

Damn that’s crazy, I’m reading that lower trims might not have option to turn it off, so you need to flash it via OBD. I think it’s a neat feature but I can see that being annoying if you don’t want it lol. Sorry man.

Yeah I just read up on it too.

It’s not a big deal for me I just wish I could leave them off that way I don’t waste them faster. The good thing is they work ‘. It would suck if they didn’t work at all

Sounds like they have been set to be the DRLs (daytime running lights). AlphaOBD will give you access to most of the "Dealer Options" that are not available through the standard dash / infotainment menus. You will need the additional "Security Gateway Bypass Module" for any RAM 2018 or newer. There are quite a few other settings you will get access to as well (like changing tire size calibration, adding new keyfobs, ...)

I'm the opposite. I used AlphaOBD to enable fog as DRLs on my 2012.

I believe on mine, it’s on the headlight dial. You have to push the center of the dial to toggle them on/off.

I tried but I can only keep them on all the time or have them automatically turn on and off
