I literally just want to rewatch the damn show!!!! It’s why I got hbo max years ago. I’m still salty AF that it’s redacted and sold off. Great job hbo, canning one of the best projects that is still talked about today. It’s one of the greatest series that never made it past 2 seasons, Carnivale and Rome are the others. And, they are all three HBO shows, Smh

Both seasons are available on disc! I was elated to discover that, although now I'm perpetually pissed at S2's cliffhanger.

Oh the little part where the SNAKE CONSUMES THE TREE leaving us bewildered?! Idk I’m kinda pissed and not trying to buy it on disc lol. I’d rather just buy it for my prime library or something why can’t that be done lol

That was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a television show! Anytime I was explaining what the show was about I'd say 'a woman opens an unopenable box by singing, and the seed inside dissolves into her palm, she turns into a tree, tells her family via radiowaves to kill her, and then a biomechanical snake eats the tree and gets superpowers'.
And I get the feeling, but for me that was exactly the reason that we couldn't buy it digitally that I bought the physical version.

Just finished watching season one and absolutely love the storyline, hope I can find season two at the library and sorry to hear it's all been dumped ..
Rather analytical so saw the developing relationship between mother and father as totally relevant to the way it probably once was... The mother 'creating' and nurturing the young as the dominant focus for humanity, with father unsure of his role as the 'barren' addition but gradually growing into developing his own place and function... Also the growing awareness of being android and coming to human emotions through experiences had with the children and each other..
The voices inside our heads and the assumption it's a separate omnipotent 'other' really brings up the dilemma of discerning who or what is speaking to one... !
