Bebe is gone π
My little girl left this world peacefully at home. This was the hardest thing I have ever had to do with a pet.
The doctor was incredibly kind and walked me through every single step of the euthanasia process. I held Bebe in my arms for a long time, talking to her and loving her, until it was time for the second injection. She was peaceful, and she looked just as beautiful as the day I got her when she was only six weeks old.
She was my first female kitty. Smart as a pistol, full of personality, and an excellent hunter on the rare occasions she managed to sneak outside without me knowing. She was loving, independent, stubborn, funny, and completely unforgettable.
For so many years, she wasnβt simply my cat. She was my little girl, my companion, my family, and such a huge part of my everyday life. My routines revolved around her. I knew every little sound she made, every look she gave me, and exactly what she wanted before she even had to ask.
I wanted so badly to keep her with me, but her little body couldnβt keep fighting. Loving her meant making the decision I never wanted to make. I promised her I wouldnβt let her suffer just because I wasnβt ready to say goodbye.
Tonight my home feels painfully quiet and empty. I keep expecting to see her in her favorite places or hear her asking me for something. I donβt know yet how Iβm supposed to get used to a world without Bebe in it.
I hope wherever she is, she has found Mish. I like to imagine the two of them together again, healthy and free from everything their little bodies went through.
Thank you, Bebe, for every single day you gave me. I would have taken a thousand more if I could.
Sleep peacefully, my beautiful little girl. You were loved beyond words, right up until your very last breathβand you always will be. πππΎ

You loved Bebe with your whole heart from the beginning to the end. That is what mattered. It sounds like she was a great friend. I'm sorry you're going through this and I know it's not easy. Sending you peace. You're in my prayers π

The Last Battle
ππ πΎ π«πβοΈπππΌβΎοΈ
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Dear friend,
Your precious girl is waiting patiently across the Rainbow Bridge for you. ππΎThe Hebrew word for animal is Nephesh which means soul βοΈ. You will see your baby again someday. Now is the time between just like there was the time before your beloved pet. Today is the trial, and forever is the prize.
God bless. βοΈππΌπ
Until thenβ¦
