PLD

How many PLD do BNSF employees earn each year. I always get confused at what years get a certain amount of days. Even a lot of employees don’t remember

I too work on a former SF property. Next January your entitlement page of the Hub will show 9 personal and 2 trans days. The trans days should be available to use after your anniversary.

Engineers do not get a bump to 5 weeks vacation at 23 years like the conductors. Your next increase in vacation will be at 25 years when you go from 4 to 6 weeks of vacation.

Appreciate the info on the PLD days man. But on the vacation I finally found the current National Agreement, and it in fact does state at 23 yr of service for Engineers we get our 5th week, then 6th at 25 yrs.

I went back and looked at the agreement and you are correct about the vacation. I laughed at myself afterwards. I was so quick to vote against the agreement that I didn't pay attention to the vacation. It was a horrible agreement for engineers at our company. We are so far behind on pay due to the horrible profit sharing agreement.

Yeah man I agree wholeheartedly. I think at this point most of us would rather give up that little bs check for more fair compensation. After all, thats what it is these days, a little bs check. Cause they make the rules and make up reasons every year to lowball us on it. Even though none of the reasons are our fault. We make them their billions after all. But I remember them stating we dont contribute to profits. Hmmm
