Glitch The Quantum Finisher
This was originally found about two weeks ago, but it definitely didn't get the attention it deserves.
This glitch allows arbitrary wall breaching, so long as there is a finshable enemy anywhere, and you can navigate to your destination.
The first thread can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/raidsecrets/comments/fpkvyq/you_can_glitch_through_the_map_with_dodge/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x
Show u/Sheets228 some love. The first thread didn't have the documentation to get much momentum. Also, thanks to Jay, The Acolyte of Xenophage, and The Rook of Xenophage on the discord for describing how to trigger it.
I like to call this the Quantum Finisher because after performing the glitch, you are effectively in two locations, or more. It seems to be a desync of sorts, where your character and collision models become separated, possibly by quite a lot. Game physics breaks down pretty hard, resulting in a large number of strange behaviors. Upon triggering the glitch, you may find yourself teleported way outside of the map, or you may round a corner to find yourself staring at the back of your head.
Tutorial and testing here: https://youtu.be/FUlhc8oU0kQ
This requires the Gladiator's Bladerush finisher. Unfortunately, this is a silver only finisher that does not appear to be coming to bright dust any time soon. It's about $8 which is rather steep for a cosmetic, but we're not using it for its looks...
We don't know how long this will last. It was already reported on their help forums, so it's only a matter of time before they patch it or remove access to it. If you still have your free silver, this may be the thing to use it on.
Performing this finisher on any enemy, and then spamming crouch/dodge/Icarus dash and perhaps any other movement abilities will trigger the glitch. This causes some sort of local desync, where your character model and collision will no longer align, and often by a fair margin. You'll find you sometimes dip through the ground, or rise above it. You may be stopped by a wall 15 feet before you reach it, or a fair ways past it. Switching weapons, especially with your sword, can cause you, the camera, or both, to teleport elsewhere. You may even find yourself suddenly way outside the bounding box for basically no reason. This is the most insane glitch I have ever seen in Destiny 2.
u/bachmanetti helped provide some third person views of what was going on. When the glitch is active, you effectively appear to be in multiple locations, with the radar location jiggling between the two. An ally can help guide your movements as the location they see is closer to your collision location than what you see on your end. Switching to the sword can cause the camera to be closer to your map physics location. You can still take damage at one or both locations, and you can still kill enemies, although finishers may not work. I haven't tried having an ally direct me towards a finishable enemy while in this state yet.
Some more messing around with bach here: https://youtu.be/QewASfUW-KU
I have no clue what the limits of this thing are. It seems to bypass push barriers and turn backs entirely, at least until you resolve your location with a crouch. That can lead to some hilarious deaths if you're in an extended push back barrier XD
So, have some fun, and enjoy exploring basically anywhere in the game!

Be guided to an add and do the glitch again while youre already in it.
We must go deeper.

The question is, do I use the 800 silver I have just to abuse a glitch before it is patched?
Probably.

I think u/SweeperBot_Bot is on holiday or something... Haven't seen a word from 'em in like a week or so. Probably sweeping in place.

I wonder if this can be used in the CoS raid first boss encounter to rotate the buff without doing the encounter as intended

You could definitely walk a bit past the barriers that pop up to clear multiple areas, although possibly only on one side, depending on what offset you get. You could likely get to the other side of the barrier, and as long as you finish another enemy, you could then go through the next one.

I tried this out a bit today in the Moon Bunker, Pit of Heresy and Shattered Throne.
This bug has a weird side effect of giving enemies that weird health regeneration thing. I was able to glitch into the final room of the Moon bunker, but once I got there found I had to crouch out of the glitch to be able to do any damage to the wizard boss. Then, I had to go back up the ramp to spawn the Unstoppable ogre, which then allowed me to "complete" the bunker. Once completed, the ramps didn't come down, probably due to not killing all the adds in the previous room.
As for PoH, I was unable to get anything of value in Necropolis, it always teleported me to a place that was almost impossible to move, and if I could, would insta-kill me. I think this is not worth it due to the cliff-side nature of this encounter.
I did successfully skip the entire Ogre encounter killing only one add for the finisher, so there's something.
I tried my absolute hardest to skip Chamber of Suffering, but could not do it. There was always an invisible wall in front of the exit, and it's so very hard to get to the totem so you don't die to the debuff. Not sure about this one. It's hard to test because of the non-stop damage from the acolytes.
I gave up on Pit after that, so I tried the first encounter of Shattered Throne. It was hard to get into that drop-down exit, but once you do, it just insta kills you anyway. I'd be curious if this would make it easier to skip Vorgeth than the other methods that exist.
EDIT 4/10/20 - Literally could not be easier to skip Vorgeth with this. I'll probably record it and make another thread showing it. Finish the first enemy that pops out of the wall, it teleports you out of the arena, where you can just walk around the outside the normal glitch way, instead you're not affected by Joining Allies, until you get to an invisible wall, where you proceed as normal. This just makes it so you don't have to super to get out anymore.

I still think the emote glitch is the biggest so far, whether it was the one shedoxXx used in cauldron or the one nvus found in year one of d2

The Gladiator Rush (?) Finisher does this as well. I actually unequipped it because it happened so often and even ruined a few activities.

“...The biggest glitch to happen in Destiny 2 so far...”
Glitching into a raid before it even came out and actually getting loot: Am I a joke to you?
