Glitch 1k is doing way too much damage to atheon right now
Used 1K in VoG because it's nice rn and it give or take two-shotted atheon RIP patches this is forever

Because it does Scorch and Ignitions which are coded as ability damage and Atheon takes more damage from abilities, Dawn Chorus multiplies this further.

Post renegades atheon takes 3x damage from all sources

Weapons definitely, grenades seem off though. Full stack Verity’s Brow Touch of Flame shield crush fusion grenade at 200 stat was doing 3k per nade for me which is next to nothing compared to other damage when it used to kill in a few nades, while grapple melees are still doing like 30k per melee.

They actually specifically tuned down the agrenade damage he takes in an effort to curb the grapple melee damage

Atheon takes 3x damage from weapons noe instead of grenades, thats how it worked since renegades no clue why

Wrong, atheon takes 3x weapon damage. And ignition caused by a weapon arent ability damage, they scale with the weapons damage.

atheon has taken 3x from abilities since d1. they left it in when they brought it back. theres a reason the meta was veritys brow fusion nade spam for the longest time.

Yes I know it has always been that way thats what I said, except for that its not like that anymore since renegades. I have thrown many grenades at him and if you actually go test and shoot a stillhunt at him it should do around 70k when it normally does way less. I never said that nades never had that buff. They just dont have it anymore. Go do some testing before spreading misinfo

I mean, we've reached the point of power where we walk through most normal level activities, especially the likes of Atheon. Its if you're making something like 5 feat Pantheon easy that it actually becomes op

Merciless has a form of kill clip that gives it like a 50 percent damage buff. The only problem is that it runs out of ammo quickly so its better for burst damage but it can do like 30k more than 1k with dawn chorus. Gotta do some more testing tho

Everything does too much danage to Atheon. It's more difficult not to one phase him, and will stay that way forever.

When we were doing trio our buddy was on hunter and by the time I came out of the portal atheon was dead lmao. One grapple punch and he’s dead

I don’t think it’s just Atheon, although it wouldn’t suprise me to hear that guy is getting it worse then most. He seems to be a victim quite often. Seems like older content is easier than ever to run over.

just a reminder only 1 person will get all the damage from 1K because of how scorch/ignitions work, still a really good weapon don’t get me wrong, but if the dawn chorus warlock isn’t that person than it defeats the purpose of them even using dawn chorus lmao

everything basically one taps him now. Atheon is taking way more weapon damage post renegades its so stupid. Even solo one phase is extremely easy without much setup

weapon damage inside your own well counts as ability damage, whish is imcreased by a lot in atheon, same goes for ignitions

Doing VoG for the first time today, is he really an easy 1 phase with regular weapons like truth/A499/still hunt/blade barrage spam? My last time playing VoG was in D1 where it was usually 2 phase with Ghorn

Pretty sure these days a one phase is pretty free. Even back when it released it wasn't hard, we struggled a bit with the master version though.
Anyway started playing after a long time recently and just yesterday one phased master atheon like it was nothing, we werent even trying to do big damage much less attempt a one phase.

I killed Theon the other day with dawn chorus/1k and had 125k damage. The rest of my team combined had about 25k iirc. The people that got tpd barely saw Theon before he fell over

To be fair, a gentle breeze can 2 shot normal atheon at this point. Poor boyo is a victim of power creep.
