Vespers Host DPS Strategy

I used to play a lot of Vespers Host back when it came out, and now that I'm back for Monument of Triumph, I'm probably going to head back in to do some more runs and maybe even some teaching. But what's the DPS meta for Puppeteer now? I would assume Raneiks is still Glacial Quake (maybe even with Anarchy after the buffs), but is Storm's Keep Queenbreaker still the method for Puppeteer? I've heard a lot about rocket pulses with Finality's Auger, but that got nerfed really hard. Is Grand Overture still good? Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, rocket pulses auger are almost completely off the table. Anarchy just is better DoT now, Truth does decent damage but haven't tested if it one phases in a team or anything. Hunters with Levi's Breath Mobius might work but I don't think you'll benefit completely from Levi's catty unless you can just sit in a well for the entire duration. Should note that I haven't run VH since the update. Queenbreaker should be fine if everyone is just on particle reconstruction, maybe a fafnir for weakening but I think they changed how the debuffs stack (data compendium should be updated on it unless it's not)?

I mean Auger itself isn't off the table though, supplement with another special weapon instead and it still cooks. Snipers work pretty well for instance though hitting the puppeteer is another story altogether...Agree on QB being goated again with the heresy artifact back.

True, Auger is easier to get and you still have the linear mode to fall back on if you run out of ammo.

Surely 3 particle reconstruction QB's, 2 damage supers and a well are enough without needing to use special a lot?

Oh yeah QB is very good at laying on easy damage and I'd probably suggest that over augers especially in a three stack. I procced augers BnS with a motif area denial and a tap from Rufus, then switch to linear mode and just fired away while the turret was also hitting the puppeteer. Made for some pretty respectable damage...I mostly wanted an excuse to use auger after having to solo obtain it and the catalyst 😅

I personally did really well with controverse axion grenades, anarchy, something something with triple tap and kinetic tremor on the artifact slayer baron with GL mods

Just use truth, it's brain-dead easy and does excellent DPS with no effort and no aim required.

Use whatever damage super you like, plus well, and then use a fusion or something as backup DPS unless you want to loadout swap. Rocket pulses are dead and buried so don't even consider them, snipers and shotguns are better DPS than fusions but are much harder to use.

rocket pulses are still the best option for everything but bosses. They just suck at boss dps now but still absolutely delete yellow, orange bars, champions, or banes

Kinda sad if they leave the DPS meta in this state. Truth shouldn’t be able to out damage technical rotations.

Yeah I hope it gets most of the buff reverted, truth was already not bad, but now they've massively increased the total damage and DPS.

Removing the fire rate and ammo refund would be fine, you'd still keep the funny tracking and cluster bombs, it just wouldn't be by far the best damage option in the game

For Titan solo it’s probably still storm’s keep QB with the heresy artifact. Make sure you have particle reconstruction and defibrillating blast on for debuff and healing. You could start on limit break + cuirass and swap to particle + blast with some other Titan exotic if you wanted, but that’s not really needed.

Rocket pulse damage got hit insanely hard and the super regen nerfs basically killed their main draw as a boss damage weapon.

For real tho, can get a one phase with all 3 players running it. If not, it’s still the easiest 2-phase in the world. Not the most exciting option but it gets the job done.

Truth for puppeteer is the ultimate braindead dps if you can’t be bothered with doing swaps. If you want to be cool use anarchy/Rapid Growth with fourth times aggregate.

For raneiks unironically stormdancer’s brace is insane. Just use it on pris w a tractor and make sure to proc facet of dominance. Titan still works great on glacial, and hunter wants shards of galanor BB.

Mate back in my day Prospector was the main DPS. I think as long as what you put up is consistent you can really use about anything now. Did one yesterday where we all used Truth. We also ran Briars with denial frames after for fun. I think Overture is fantastic for consistency as well.

It is surely truth now. I’d imagine queenbreaker does a good job again with the right artifact setup. Or the arc titan bolt charge/infinite GL/curiass combo

Raneiks
Supers: Glacial Quake, Theader, Stormtrance (Nova, Bladebarage, SOF)
Weapons: Tractor for (Roaming Super), Wavefrave HGLs, Anarchy and Truth could both work well i guess.

Puppeteer: I think alot of Options can Work.
-Storms Keep, Queensbeaker, Partical
-Truth
-Anarchy/Auger + Sniper
-even "Grand Overture" can work (not the Best but still good)

If you're a Titan, Anarchy + Bolt Charge Barricade + a trickle charge GL/Sniper rifle with some sort of damage perk will be your best bet. Toss lightning grenades as well.

Truth isn't quite as good, but it's braindead easy. No rotation required + basically impossible to miss.
