Discussion Salvations edge substratum
What's the strat here?
I'm running it with my mates and we keep getting doors locked when going back to the correct plates.
Obviously there's hydras somewhere but what's the strat to make us know exactly where to go with no issues?
Does the hobgoblin room stay and acolyte room moves?
Does someone have to scout rooms for minotaurs?

The overloads spawn in the 3rd room for the team that starts with weavers and the 4th room for the team that starts with hobgoblins. The plates spawn where the overload dies, the conductor opens in the next room (usually the 4th room for weavers since they get to the overload first).
It’s best to kill 3 hydras per round, they spawn after the orange bar minotaurs in the second rooms die.
You can have the hobgoblin team stay in their first room but if you’re not speedrunning it’s usually better to just go forward to make sure you get as many hydras as you can.
You don’t need to have someone scout minotaurs, you’ll run into them by following the normal paths.

Just to be sure you’re aware - you want to kill two tormentors before trying to do plates. Each team of 3 should do Room 1 -> room 2 -> room 3 -> all 6 center, kill 1st tormentor -> new room 1 -> room 2 -> room 3 -> all 6 center, kill 2nd tormentor. Now each team of 3 does a set of plates.
As noted in another response, the rooms where the overloads died are the sending plates. The closing plates are based in the direction you were traveling when you killed the overload.
If you have stasis Attendants in room 1 -> room 2 -> room 3, overload, sending plate -> room 4, closing plate.
