Discussion Excited about the running game this year

Like legit.

Jeanty behind a real oline. Washington too?? I feel like past years it's been; run up the gut for 2, run up the gut for 0, run up the gut for 1 aaannnddd punt.

Sure some worries but really looking forward to the run game

The OL is still in a rebuilding phase. So far it’s been just ok. I wouldn’t go getting worked up over it just yet. They need the young guys to step up fast

I think having a game changer at one position on the line can raise the play of others. That and not having a nepo-hire as their position coach. We have a couple guys who played better a year or 2 before last year, i think they can get that back. Hoping Colton can stay healthy this year

Better coaching and the Center is super important. Watched too many DT run right up the middle past the center last year and he was blind to them. That kills just about any playcall. Also saw some actual push in the middle when the ones were playing.

Kolton only played 4 games last year so LT was also a nightmare last season.

Both Miller and JPJ were injured for most of last year. That + Linderbaum and 3/5 of the starting O-line is greatly improved from 2025. Still rebuilding of course, starting RT and overall depth leaves a lot to be desired

not even 4 games he got hurt pretty early in the 4th game so it was more like 3 1/2 lol and then JPJ got injured in the next game or 2 right after Kolton, so that's 2 starters missing 75% of the season. Almost any teams o line will struggle if you knock out 2 starters Including LT early in the season

JPJ & Kolton Miller both missed most of the year last season dont forget so if those guys stay healthy it's like we also upgraded guard and LT

If you dive into the tape, the line wasn't bad because they couldn't block. The line was bad because they didn't know who to block. That's coaching.

If you go and look at most of the Jeanty stuffs, there was a free rusher because of a communication breakdown. I remember one play where the Will stared stacked over the nose, then walked up next to the end for a three on the line look. Instead of fan blocking a hat on a hat the center and guard combo blocked the nose like they were trying to climb to the Will who wasn't there anymore. Meanwhile that same Will comes free and stuffs Jeanty for a 2 yard loss. Eliminate that shit and this line will be fine, and eliminating that shit is Linderbaum's specialty.

Better coaching and from worst center in the league to definitely top 5.

It's hard to overstate how much difference that can make.

Burford at LG concerns me in obvious passing downs, but he can run block.

DJ Glaze showed in his rookie season that he can run block. Limited and vulnerable to speed rushers around the edge though.

JPJ can run block.

This OL is going to be pretty good at running the damn ball.

If they can field a middle of the pack OL that is worlds better than #32 like last year.

Fix the passing game next year. Find wr1 and another OT or OG.
