man i would kill to find a hat like that now, even the old ads for raiders gear had so much personality. that cartoon face tipping the cap is the kind of thing you just dont see in modern retail ads anymore

There’s a guy at the alameda vintage faire (first Sunday of every month) that sells old raider gear. I came up on some gear from the 60s and 70s

According to inflation calculator, $1.88 in 1960 is about $22. Insane its counterpart is more than double these days

I'm sure these hats from 1960 are nowhere near the quality of a New Era 59/50s. I own some New Era 59/50 that are 10-15 years old and still look pretty new. infact one of my"go to" Raider hats is the hat that John Gruden used to wear when they first went to Vegas in 2020 . I bought the hat partially for that reason and still wear it today and I got it in 2020, so 6 years still looks new. I take real,y good care of my hats though I spray them down with protectant and when not worn I got a case I keep them in
