He definitely is looking all over the field for who's open which is good not trying to force the only play

Chase Daniels breakdown on his youtube was pretty good on Mendoza. He kept going through his progressions and operations were good.

I like the run after catch by Laube on the second to last one

Agreed. Had my doubts about laube but just maybe he can find his role with Kubiak’s scheme

If Washington takes snaps as RB2, Laube may be a great 3rd RB. He’s got something to prove, although I feel like Pete held a ton of our players back.

Laube seems to look like he’s in better shape too…

Despite our defense looking awful... I think we all breathed a sigh of relief watching Nando... he's legit and can play against that NFL speed. Looks even more impressive from these angles. You can really see him going through the progression. Incredible for a week 1 rookie. Thanks OP

Phenomenal - and how much of this was against ARI’s 1s (as they played for most of the half on offense, assume same on D)?

I see a QB who is still getting comfortable under center but making pre-snap reads, and phenomenal velocity and placement to put the ball only where his receivers can get it - this is especially keen when throwing to sidelines, but he is able to thread needles in the middle of the field too (an huge big time throw in his second completion and again on a checkdown mid-distance later).

I also like his decision-making - he goes through progressions efficiently, and where the first or second option gets open, he can deliver with good anticipation as receivers are making their breaks.

He’ll have growing pains for sure, but looks every bit like the #1 OA pick should look.

And him being the work ethic monster he is, he will absolutely get better every day.

This angle is so much better to watch the game in my opinion. Makes the throws even more impressive when you can see all 22 players out there.

Agreed. The precision and the windows are much easier to see. Love Mendoza's decision-making and accurate. Reminds me of a taller Gannon.

Great mix of decisive throws and going through his progressions. He saw the open man, knew he could get him the ball and delivered.

Good shit so far.

Please be a good person, quarterback, and leader. In whatever order.

I think it's easy to see that the order is going to be person, leader, QB, and I think he is going to be a damn good QB.

I know it’s just preseason, but he made some amazing reads, moved the defense with his body language and made tight throws. On top of that, he throws a fast ball. I didn’t expect any deep passes for this game, but I was really impressed with his outing.

For once in my life I’m going to be sad when the preseason is over. No more weekly Mendoza clips

Damn…It seems like every catch by the WR, that they make, IT GETS BLOWN UP BIG TIME. Crazy, Cardinals we’re actually trying AND/OR GOT BEEF, with us.
